A Message From Bad Kitty...

First of all I would like to apologize to BK and fattygotpunked for not getting back to her/them earlier.

We have implemented a new policy for USERS that have been banned that allows them to write to request reinstatement.

Kendra did her part and the Moderator Core voted on it and it was negative and I did not get the word to Kendra = MY FAIL. I will stand behind the Mod decision and also accept the fact that Kendra took the step to post a public apology via the FGP (Jon's)account.

I feel the apology was from the heart and warmly taken by the members, but the members did not have to take the time to deal with the problems that the Mod core did. In fact some had contributed to the situation in negative ways.

Multiple suspensions and chances were given and the result was a permanent ban.
At this time while my heart says yes just because I do believe in second chances.. my head and respect to the Mod core must take precedence.

I am sorry that my lack of action led to this playing out in the forum.

I really don't like dealing with this side of running a site either. I love the smiles, the photo's the fun, but as in most things there is a downside to so I will deal with it.

Hey M.

You should step up and accept the fact that YOU not the mod's had the fuck with certain people issue not the Mod Core.. all we did was deal with the fall out.. and it was not fun.

I personally did not like Valgars picture either, but I understand.. a few have created 90% of the problems here and of course it will leave a negative feeling towards them. They have lives and work and do this as a volunteer to help guide the fun.. not f'ing punish people.

I think many of the newer mod's have really come to realize being a mod is not some social club and we really do try to take it seriously and come to a common ground on decisions..

If the decision were all mine.. many members would probably leave because I really dislike having to feel like I am punishing anyone for any internet crap.. steal something, threaten a family member, or friend or me and yeah.. sure I can dish back, but I feel that is personal.. and you do that face to face or at least voice to voice on the phone.

I am probably going to take a :wtf from the Mod's, but I am going to open this up for discussion.

Kendra posting under Jon's account will cause a suspension for her hubby.

I really hope a little more time will ease the whole issue and BK will join the board again if she cares to. I can see her being upset at me and the MC too, but perhaps being upset should include her own actions as she put in her apology and those of others that helped her get to a point where we said enough was enough.

I'd like to see her back and able to post.

I thought it was great. The fact that some of the mods around here can have a little bit of an edge and a sense of humor about things is one of the main reasons it is tolerable when the mods DO have to come in and do some enforcing. Anyone who takes the job too seriously really needs to get a life. Little jokes like the post Valgar did show me a guy who has things in proper perspective. I've seen way too many forums where mods get all hyped up on their, "POWER," and, "AUTHORITY," and waggle it around to make up for some inadequacy south of the border or to prove that daddy should have loved them. It's absurd to witness.

Mods gotta have a sense of humor.

I came in at the tail end of all that... but having heard Kendra's apology, and hearing the sincerity in it, after hearing the insincerity of a recently-posted apology, I have to say that I believe Kendra has had some personal growth, and has changed her perspective on things. I truly believe that she would a valuable member of the forum this time around, and I hope some of the mods will change their minds, maybe bring her back on a trial basis, to see how it works out...
 
Being who I am an all, and a witness albeit only peripherally to all of the stuff that happened, I would say that if someone shows true remorse then they should be allowed back but only on a VERY short leash. But then again, I'm a very mellow and forgiving kind of guy
too..

Just as an FYI: I've met Kendra in person a few times and never had any quarrels with her, in person nor online.
 
I've met Kendra a couple of times. Geez...what a character! :party I mean that in a good way too. (If they cannonized Mother Theresa, Jon should be a slam-dunk! :teeth) As a BARF member, I'd like to see a second chance.

But, having been a mod elsewhere, and on an occasion or two dealt with someone that was eventually banned permanently, I can understand a bit of the resentment the mods may have. The picture that Valgar posted is one of those, that to me, spoke a thousand words. I don't know what transpired in posts and PM's. I don't know if posts needed to be edited or deleted. That's a part of BARF that I didn't see. And no one is going to bring up the past to prove their negative point(s). There's a few mods, apparently, that don't believe it's time for her return. Her apology appears sincere to me. But if her reinstatement is turned down, I would kind of understand...
 
I've been (and currently am) a mod on a forum. Not nearly as big as this, and it's basically closing down, but still...

I've never banned somebody that wasn't an obvious malicious troll.
 
I thoroughly enjoyed reading BK's posts when she was on the board and would like to see her back. I never took offense to anything she posted.
It's the freakin internet fer Christ's sake. :party

Mods must have no sense of humor. They should be like ephors from 300 - disgusting beings with no souls that live on the top of a mountain and prey on newbs.

I like how people are talking about "second" chances. The second chance was after the first suspension. The third chance was after the second suspension. You have to get suspended SIX FUCKING TIMES to get the boot. That means this would be, at minimum, the SEVENTH chance.

We ALL believe in second chances. Seventh chances? I'd rather dress up in a French maid outfit and have pineapples shoved up my ass.
