I like how people are talking about "second" chances. The second chance was after the first suspension. The third chance was after the second suspension. You have to get suspended SIX FUCKING TIMES to get the boot. That means this would be, at minimum, the SEVENTH chance.

I have looked and looked and can't find more than 3 suspensions for both Nice Kitty and Bad Kitty combined. I am not a pro at searching but maybe someone else is. She is certain beyond all doubt that she hasn't had 6 suspensions, pm me the links if you can find more than 3 bc I am lost after those.

Oh yeah. Things were a bit odd/tense/weird/strained/awkward/unsettling/stupid around the old BARF homestead, back about then. I was shocked to hear that the Kitty had been put outside - permanently.

Kitty made me laugh. But, hey, you-za all-za knows how I can get loose, so maybe I would let too much go for too long.

Things were really uncomfortable if the administrators and regular mods thought they needed to put the cat out. I will have to defer to their judgment.

But hey, we all better do as Valgar says, after all, he's doing tech support for free. And let's not ignore the fact that a few otherwise very cool and very influential mods have a vendetta against Kendra, too. And before you start voting on suspending me again for disrespecting the staff, I'm not...just calling for people to forgive, forget, and move on with life. :) :love

Have you actually accepted "full responsibility" if you are still of the belief that a few of the Mods have a vendetta against you? I have no opinion on whether they do or don't I just see it as a "i'm sorry but" caveat. I see no value in publicly debating a personal decision with Budman. I enjoy your presence on the board so my advice is to leave this thread alone.
 
No, I definitely accepted it. I just don't want to air that dirty laundry. I don't think I said anything wrong in this thread and hate to feel like I have to fear anything in my life, especially on Barf. But in the interest of group harmony, I'll leave this alone. Speaking as a retired mod, the mods don't have vendettas against anyone. They seldom agree on the time of day or the color of green. They generally have "vendettas" against people who waste their time or need lots of attention. As far as BK goes, as someone said, it takes a lot to get banned for life.

My own opinion? Posting an "apology" whose purpose is to get reinstated is not making amends, it is manipulation. Period. Amends is apology without strings.

As far as reinstatement? Ask again in a year. But making an apology and then campaigning for reinstatement is a bit self serving.

I missed the part of the post where she asked for a reinstatement. She asked in the past by emails anfd Bud said you guys voted. Since she hadnt heard back and didn't know, she wanted to get the apology out whether or not she was reinstated. She didn't ask in the post, the decision was made already, just because the other people want it and mention it doesn't mean she wrote it there.

The apology was to apologize bc of reasons written, no more.

You know what, I wasn't a moderator back then, and wasn't involved in banning BK. So let's say that she definitely only got three suspensions. Ok, so she had a second chance, a third chance and a fourth chance and still couldn't get her act together. I think only child molesters and crackheads have a higher recidivist rate.

The apology is because she's still an attention whore. If she wanted to apologize, she'd send an email/pm/call/talk in person to each of the people she offended/was obnoxious to.

If she wanted everyone to know she was "apologizing" and wanted to draw attention to herself she'd use another person's account to make a big public broohaha in the Kitchen Sink...

Except not everyone she annoyed was dumb enough to get involved. A public apology would be the appropriate remedy for the sheer quantity of shit disturbance.

But yea, it won't change many people's opinions...once a cartwheeler always a cartwheeler until there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

It's been kind of a calm discussion for the most part, but you are cranking it up a notch here, in the wrong direction. Similar to the allegations made about the mods earlier toward her.

You mods have access to things unavailable to the rest of us. That's just the way it needs to be...but how 'bout keeping it civil.
