ADV/DS ride Lake Berryessa/Knoxville OHV/Rayhouse Rd.

I just received notification from Yolo County Parks Planning that the bridge over Rd 40 has been completed, and the road is now open to traffic.

Looks like a couple weeks of rain, but is anyone interested in doing this ride when it dries out a bit? I’m in napa and itching to get out on some dirt.

Yeah, looks like the rain is going to persist. I’m not looking to go mud bogging, so it might have to wait a bit. Just hoping to find some folks interested when it dries out a bit. I did some riding out of cow mountain in October, and want to find some new spots to ride.

Been looking at the weather daily. We are gonna get a week of sun to dry things out, but the forecast is the. Calling for more rain. Hopefully it’s light and we can get a ride together soon.

It's been a little while since the apocalyptic rain. Anyone looking to maybe see how bad R40/BuckIsland/Fiske is this Saturday? If so, I'm thinking I may sleep at Buck Island or Fiske Pond...

:teeth

I was just wondering what to do this weekend...

I've got class Saturday, but I am otherwise interested. Report back if you all go!

I was coming back to say "Nevermind, I'm gonna help do Trail Maintenance." Saw Cabrito's post and let myself get a little excited. Alas, he can't go, so I'm back to trying to help with Stony Trail Repair.

How about the weekend of 2/4?

Works for me, I'm commited to Saturday classes for a while, but if you all do Saturday and camp I could always try to meet up on Sunday if I don't get lost. I've only been through that area twice.

:thumbup

on the fence, depending on the weather ... there may be some route intel by the first week of February, too.

If there was 12" of rain up there over all our recent storms, I'm thinking there may be an issue or two with the road being there at all. :laughing

at least I think the bridge is done on the Hwy 16 side, so there's a chance to approach from either side. :dunno

maybe we can get someone to scout it out for us on their way to/from Stonyford, you know ... if they were heading up that way. :toothless
