AF1 poor customer service

Awesome - hope this squares it up for OP. Broad communication and correction and did it without shitting on anyone - Props AF1!
 
I was the offending party at AF1 Racing.

I was going from memory and the reference photo I looked at led me down the wrong path. I apologize for providing bad information, that certainly wasn’t my intention.

I updated our online ad for the part so that hopefully future customers will not be similarly misguided.

Received your email earlier today and want to say thank you for owning up to it. It's really easy for others to become offended and end up lashing back. Other than this past experience Af1 has been great to me and will continue to support them
 
Or you could focus on the fact that guy from the shop came to BARF, OPENED AN ACCOUNT JUST TO ANSWER YOUR RANT, apologized and gave you better info. Jesus Christ, you are that customer that will never be happy.

Personally, I'd recommend the OP change the title of the post - someone scrolling through would see this and maybe pass judgment without context.

A problem like this can come and go but the topic is permanent and can have rather unfair consquences to their business.

Just my 2 cents.

Impressive response.

Everyone makes mistakes. Its often best to judge by how one manages the mistake rather than the mistake itself. For years, I've read comments about the excellent service and knowledge provided by AF1 staff. This post reinforces what I have read.

AF1 has always been great in my experience. not many sites are even close.
quick to update stock status, the extra info about pricing and replacement part numbers makes me very comfortable purchasing from them. i have an order on the way now
 
AF1 has served me very well through 4 Tuonos. Steve's response here proves their excellent service.

I was an Aprilia owner for about 3-4 years. The bike was one headache after the next, but AF1 was never one of the problems. Their website was the only thing that let me keep the bike running, in fact. If only I could have mailed the whole machine to them for service I would have.

The ONLY glitch I had with them is ordering a part, figuring out that there was an improved after-market item a day later and trying to change the order to find they had already shipped. Problems like THAT I can live with !
 
13 years of buying from AF-1 and only good things to say. Glad to see it was resolved in a professional way that shows a real vale in a good name.
 
I'll chime in with an overall "thumbs up" to AF1 for all their tech assists [& in-stock parts - no small thing in Ape-world]

especially when Tuono Joice's Bonneville preparations were underway & we needed stuff

I'd rate them a top dealer, even from this distance......
