I hope so too. There are parts birds, you can see two WB-57 airframes in this image from AMARC taken in 2024.

Scaled Composites ARES. Built in 1981 for Close Air Support. I recently heard an interview with the CEO of Scaled, and he said that they still fly the aircraft.

If I was closer to the Pacific Aviation Museum, I'd volunteer as a docent / workerbee and get my name back on it. Right now I'm just grateful that they let me park under it every time I stop by.

Nah, they'd let you I'm sure.

The damned thing should also have a plaque that says "flown by a Bay Area native who visits regularly."

This was the aircraft we ferried. Piper LS400. Fastest turbo prop when it was produced by Piper. This one set some world records FYI, it’s for sale. If your interested I can get you a little discount off the 1.3 mil asking price or you can negotiate some 2x4s as it’s owned by Kelleher Lumber.
