Alpinestars boot repair service

I have a pair of SMX-3 boots that the inner lace broke, and they needs new heel plates... they're so comfy and broken in, plus they're blue so they match my blue/white 2-pc suit, and I've been so bummed I couldn't wear them any more... those boots are heading down south by next week! :banana

Looks great!

I will chime in and say they did a poor job on a suit repair they did for me last year. They did little, charged too much ($150 if I remember correctly), and took way too many weeks, around 6 weeks.

The suit was so rare they had never seen it before, so I will give them that, but they could not even order basic alpinestars labels that are sown on the suit.

So for suit repair try Zooni Leathers or other local guys.

The suit was an all black perforated SMX2.

I just received the top portion of my 2 piece Alpinestar suit from Helimot. Helmut did a great job. He fixed the canvas under the flap (next to the zipper), patched up a hole in the right elbow, fixed some of the inner lining due to wear and tear, and put a patch on the back to cover some small holes I didn't even see. Also put a tiny piece of leather on the zipper to replace the zip tie I have been using. Helmut said my Alpinestar jacket was high quality but still insisted on showing me the dangers of a cheap Alpinestar knockoff on a Repsol Replica one piece. Also, he gave me a quick lesson on successfully navigating turn 3 at thunderhill (where it happened) all for $92.00. Linda is also a sweetheart to do business with.

Received the boots today, approximately 23 days from shipped out to my front porch. They replaced both toe sliders, heal guards, and of course the soles. Will try them out this weekend.

Heh, this was almost exactly two years ago. The repaired boots are still going strong.

Glad I happened upon this thread. One zipper on my old A* SMX-4's is broken, but otherwise the boot itself is fine. Need a springtime repair here. :p

wow thats awesome! Feels good to know I can count on A* when my SMX plus boots wear out.

Hmmm do you think Sidi would do anything like this for their boots?

The lovely lady that operates the shop at thunderhill does repairs of zippers, leathers and the like.

She also sells some awesome gloves. :thumbup
