Thanks for the suggestion! I've thought about that too. The problem is if I go to a shelter, I may come home with 10 dogs. Lol. I have a super soft spot for doggies.
 
You can try checking Guide Dogs for the Blind. They adopt out their "career change" dogs (for one reason or another some dogs don't make it all the way through the program) to folks who apply. My boss has one and she is a very sweet, well-behaved girl.

I have a love for the pooches too and as Larry said found good in many types.
Whatever works. It will delivery a dog into good and caring arms and that is really what counts.
