Quenching katana after austenitizing.
 
That never gets old. I watched a documentary on Japanese sword making that started from the smelting/selection of the ore to the finishing detail/adornment. The metallurgy and craftsmanship in combining two different metals always stands out for me and it is so beautifully demonstrated in the quench.
 
Wonder how many times he did that’s into a foam pit before running it with solid ground under him. Totally awesome.
