anti-motorcyclist morning show

email sent to 105

Your morning show was beyond irresponsible, it was pure negligence. As a daily commuter on a motorcycle I am absolutely appalled by the words of your hosts. Clearly your hosts do not understand that the Bay Area is one of, if not the largest motorcyclist community in America. Furthermore, your hosts do not have an intelligent grasp of lane sharing’s legality and history. Your radio show’s negligence is already the topic of the morning in the Bay Area Riders Forum with nearly 15,000 members alone as well as many other groups/forums. Trust me; this isn’t one of those scenarios where any publicity is good publicity. I doubt you will be seeing further revenue from anything remotely motorcycle related unless you take action immediately.

1. Take the hosts responsible off the air permanently

2. Devote your next morning show to the legality and benefits of lane sharing while commuting on a motorcycle

3. Provide significant airtime each morning promoting rider awareness including lane sharing during the commute hours

Your timely response will go a long way in mending relations with motorcyclists and show that your station is not represented by your AM hosts, but a responsible member of this community. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Perhaps we need a sticky thread with a clear set of actionably items for members -

ie contact 105 and let all vendors know 105 is not motorcycle friendly etc

Then he told FearNoFish to go back to his "little" forum and tell BARF they are pro-moto.

Sadly, the DJ's don't realize they have already started to lose the battle....

Emailed DEAD 105 with my complaint.

I also sent an email to CityBike to see if they can get some comment on this in their monthly free moto paper.

I htink it better that individuals flood 105, versus the "form letter" signed by all.

Hearing individually from 3000 + people tends to make a bigger impressin than getting one letter with 3000 + signatures.

<edit to add>... Joebar4000---> VERY NICE!

FYI, I have heard Suzuki of Oakland ads on Live 105 in the evening around Christmas time. I'm not sure if they are still advertizing on that station in January. Anyone who knows Dave S. or an employee of that shop might want to give them a heads up about this morning's Live 105 content.

FWIW......good looking out you guys. :thumbup

that is so 2003...its 2006..get with the times:x

BARF OWNZ J00ZZ!!!!111oneuno

Doesn't this fall under the category of 'terrorist threats' and 'trying to incite terrorism'?

I know that kids are getting kicked out of school for saying far, far less. These people aren't kids and they should definitely know better!

Why don't we just report them to the FBI for making terrorist threats and trying to incite terrorism?

These people should be doing jail time at the very minimum!!

We need to find a car door at a junk yard, then stand outside their offices on battery hitting each other with it.

Tape a big sign to it "Live 105 told me to kill motorcyclists"

:laughing

can we also get the bay yamaha thread linked in here?

This is a message that hits home. Radio people have little sense of accountability for the dumb shit they say. Every morning show is guilty of this but Live 105's new dicks on the block have gone too far.
I'll sign up to do Valgar's 'demonstration' any day. :laughing :thumbup

+1

My email to the radio station:

Just to let you know, your morning shows endorsement of causing motorcyclists to crash while legally lane splitting, has made it all the way up here to Seattle WA.

Anyone who actively promotes causing bodily harm and possible death to a law abiding citizen should be arrested.

I am seriously outraged by this, emailed contacts my disgust

they should pay and fire the DJ

I thought about sending all this to the AMA, not sure what they could do, but it looks like BARF has it handled:teeth
