DJ Tiesto - Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes

Motorcycle is the name of the DJ that created the song, but man does this song make me think of riding.

ahha had that for awhile...he's one of my fav. DJs

Street Fighting Man.........Stones

Jumpin Jack Flash....arguably the best R/Roll song of all time.

Route 66......Stones

Pipeline....Stevie Ray Vaughn and Dick Dale....adrenaline time

Hush...deep purple

For a somber change: Knockin on Heavens Door, Bob Dylan

Ride with Me...Blue Cheer......Wild/adrenaline pumper...great bay area group.

iron horse - motörhead

He rides the road
That don't have no end
An open highway
That don't have no bends
Tramp and his stallion
Alone in a dream

Proud in his colours
As the chromium gleams

On Iron Horse he flies
On Iron Horse he gladly dies
Iron Horse his wife
Iron Horse his life

He rides the road
He lives his life fast
Don't try to hide
When the dice have been cast
He rides a whirlwind
That cuts to the bone
Wasted forever
Ferociously stoned

On Iron Horse he flies
On Iron Horse he gladly dies
Iron Horse his wife
Iron Horse his life

One day, one day
They'll go for the sun
Together they'll fly
On the eternal run
Wasted forever
On speed, bikes and booze
Yeah, us and the brothers
We're all born to loose

On Iron Horse he flies
On Iron Horse he gladly dies
Iron Horse his wife
Iron Horse his life

"Bad Motor Scooter" by Montrose

Thank you. I was making sure this was cevered before I added it and I am glad it was, as it is a great song.

It's the old in the OldFatGuy that allows you to know of this song isn't it?:p

I can say that as I resemble the old remark.

Arlo Gutherie's "Alice's Restarant Massacree"...

I wonder if ther is any history related to the song and our meeting spot...

That particular song by Arlo Githrie has no mention of bikes , however
the flip side of the album has Arlo's " Motorcycle Song".

" And they all moved away on the groupW bench."

Not motorcycle specific but I have some songs I like to listen to before I go for a ride.

Mediterranean Sundance/Rio Ancho - DeMeola, McLaughlin, and DeLucia

The original version of Sundance being recorded live at the Old Waldorf
in S.F. for the " Friday Night In San Francisco" album , take a listen to
" Short Tales of The Black Forest " from the same album.

Still all these years later one of the very best concerts I've ever
attended , rivaled Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer live at the concord
pavilion.

Lunachicks - Passenger

Happylife - Breathe for me (not moto related but since it was used in a stunt movie trailer, it reminds me of bikes).

It's not about vehicles at all, but I find myself humming/muttering the Bravery's, No Brakes to remind myself to stay off the rear brake more. :teeth

Nobody mentioned our local boys of years ago...

Sweet Hitchhiker ~ Creedence Clearwater Revival

i found some that are quite entertaining...

1. The Beach Boys-Little Honda

hehehe...the Little Honda song got to me...made my smile and laugh like crazy....ahaha...

The original release of "Little Honda" was in 1964 by the Hondells. That's the tune that hit the Billboard Top 40.

The Beach Boys covered the song later. I like the Hondells version better.

Great song, by either group!!

Kind of melancholy motorcycle song. Got some airplay, though. Funny, we were just talking abuot this at work the other day.

ARTIST: David Wilcox
TITLE: The Eye of the Hurricane
Lyrics and Chords

The tank is full, the switch is on
The night is warm, the cops are gone
The rocket-bike is all her own
It's called a Hurricane

/ D - / Bm - / G - / A - /

She told me once it's quite a ride
It's shaped so there's this place inside
Where if you're moving, you can hide
Safe within the rain

{Refrain}
She wants to run away
But there's no where that she can go
Nowhere the pain won't come again
But she can hide
Hide in the pouring rain
She rides the eye of a Hurricane

/ G F#m / A D / G F#m Em - / G F#m / A D / G A D - G A /

Tell the truth, explain to me
How you got this need for speed
She laughed and said
"It might just be the next best thing to love"

Hope is gone, and she confessed
That when you lay your dream to rest
You can get what's second best
But it's hard to get enough

{Refrain}

... / G A D - /

We saw her ride, so fast last night
Racing by in a flash of light

/ Bm A G - / Bm A G AAsus4 A /

Riding quick the street was dark
The shining truck she thought was parked
It blocked her path, stopped her heart
But not the Hurricane

She saw her chance to slip the trap
There was just the room to pass in back
But then it moved, closed the gap
She never felt the pain

{Refrain}

Slipping Away...Dave Edmunds
This would be a great audio for a video of racers slipping and sliding on turns!

Wild Thing....Troggs "Wild thing, I think I love you!!" (R1150R)

Great blues song I'm listening to these days: Out of Blue by James Luthor Dickinson.....one of those really great songs that seem to appear 1 time a year.

There's also one "something, something, she rides the eye? of the Hurricane"

Damn its good to see some Meatmen fans here.:cool War of the Superbikes is always a good one as are Wine, Wenches, and Wheels, and We're the Meatmen(and you suck). One of my favs that isn't really about motorcycles but driving in general is Alone Again Blues and Flashing Lights by Big Daddy Chrome.
