Anyone on BARF knows any songs that relates to motorcycles?

"I don't want to eat a pickle, I just wanna ride my motor-sickle" - name that artist!

Also, there's a song that Queen did; Crazy Little Thing Called Love, that says he just wants to ride his Motorbike.

"come a long way" Michele Schocked

opening bit-

" I kicked in his door at 5am
I've come for my bike, I told the repo man
my 920's gonna take me far today
you can travel for miles and never leave LA"

and the best part -

"up Mulholland where I made the scene,
like the one that took little Jimmy Dean"

pop culture cred for caynon carvers!!!!!

Don't forget almost anything by BRMC, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Their songs are featured in the film Faster.

Also, there's one by the Warlocks called... Motorcycle.

+1 For the one by Love and Rockets

There's also the song, "The dead of night" by Depeche Mode on the album Exciter and their song "Stripped" on the album Black Celebration. Both feature engine/motorcycle sounds.

My pathetic input....

Speaking of motorcycle/engine songs. I don't recall the title, but Prodigy had a song with race-bikes in the backround.

There’s an old R&B song called “My Little Sister Got a Motorbike,” though I’m only familiar with the cover of it done by an old school Boston punk band whose name eludes me at the moment. Damn, I hate when I forget stuff like that.

My little sister got a motorbike
She’ll be comin’ down the way
My little sister got a motorbike
It’s an 810 BSA

...
She never wanna do the things
Like ladies supposed to do
My little sister got a motorbike
She’s a rocker through and through

There’s also The Pixies’ “Nimrod’s Son.”

One night upon my motorcycle through the desert sped
And smashed my body so that all my friends thought I was dead
My sister held me close and whispered to my bleeding head
'You are the son of a mother fucker'

...
In my motorcycle mirror I think about the life I've led
And how my soul's been aching all the holes where I have bled
My image spoke to me, yes to me and often said
'You are the son of incestuous union'

anything from Joe Satriani.

His shit is THE perfect road music. makes you just wanna rail.

"train of Angles"

"The Journey"

"Rasberry Jam Delta V"

My MP3 player has only Satriani in it.

And a little bit of "The Cult" :)

Not exactly *about* motorcycles, but the bike features prominently in the imagery..

"Gravel" by Ani Difranco.

How about Bush - Machinehead.

Breathe in, Breathe out.
breathe in breathe out.
breathe in.

Tied to a wheel fingers got to feel
I spin on a whim i slide to the right...

Got a machinehead
Better than the rest
Green to red
Machinehead.

And Prince mentions biking in Raspberry Beret.

So, look here
I put her on the back of my bike
And-a we went riding
Down by old man Johnson's farm
I said now, overcast days never turned me on
But something about the clouds and her mixed.

Just noticed a song by Joe Satriani on his "Extremist" CD called Motorcycle Driver... makes me think maybe he owns a few??

Wanted Dead Or Alive
- Bon Jovi

It's all the same, only the names will change
Everyday, it seems we're wastin' away
Another place, where the faces are so cold
I drive all night, just to get back home

I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days
The people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when you're all alone all you do is think

I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive....

Oh, I ride!

Freddy Mercury (Queen) wrote and recorded a great song "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"; Juice Newton has a very nice cover.

I gotta be cool relax, get hip
Get on my tracks
Take a back seat, hitch-hike
And take a long ride on my motor bike
Until Im ready
Crazy little thing called love

:dance

Oops! MotoLiam already had this one!

'... And I don't wanna diiiieee. I just want riiide on my motor cyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyycle.'

:teeth

Not motorcycle specfic, but gets my blood flowing.
Cake
He's going the Distance

She's a high flyin' lady
She takes me where I want to be
There's no other woman
Standing between her and me
I'll always be faithful
And keep her 'til the end of time
God knows I'll always love
That old Panhead of mine

I've seen fancy dressers
And they've caught my eye
I rode'em to ride'em
Then I told them goodbye
I flirted with Low Riders
Sportsters and Shovelheads too
I cussed her and beat her
And kicked her to just get her started
A couple of times
God knows I'll always love
That old Panhead of mine.

He also wrote a song called Ride on his "Flying In A Blue Dream" CD.

I know some people like to take life easy
That's not my style
I'm not the type to let this life tease me
I'm going to make it wild.

I just wanna ride.
Get on my bike and ride.

Yngwie Malmsteen has a song on his Rising Force CD called
Faster Than The Speed of Light that's really good. It's actually about a 12-cylinder car, but I prefer to think of it as a motorcycle song, since I was always listening to it when riding my FZ600 to work when it first came out.

Faster than the speed of light
Hugging all the curves
Hang on for your life
Faster than the speed of light
Super charged and flying low
She's liquid dynamite

Oh, you shoot the thrill-heading for the kill
No control tonight-she's fire in the night.

Also, I just realized that my first post in this thread contains an error...the Meatmen did War of the Superbikes and the 69 Tribe did Bikers. Oh well...

Aha! I have an obscure one- The Cruzados "Motorcycle Girl" I found it in '86 in the bins at the little record store in Burlingame I used to rout through when I was bored. I bought it for that song title. Also Chaco's album cover had a picture of her on a bike, so I bought it. Can't recall her music, though, and she's not even on the CDDB.

Yeah, that Arlo Guthrie song is so cute. My bro fixed my iPod while I was visiting, and because it had crashed completely he put his own music on there, so the first time I ever heard that song was somewhere on rte 33 in the middle of nowhere. It was beautiful!

One of my favorites is the Ruff Ryder's Anthem, from DMX. Makes me feel like I can do rolling stoppies and circle wheelies...
