Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

It depends quite a bit on what garment you are talking about. We have many different cuts to fit different body types, and because of that, sizing varies a bit. To use myself as an example, I can wear anything from a 56 to 60 depending on the cut. Ballpark, I would say you would be in the 58 range in most items.

I'm afraid their description is innacurate. The jacket does come with high density soft armor in the shoulders and elbows, and that can be upgraded with either the Kit E or F armor kit that is composite. It will also accept either the Backspace G2 or Wave G2 back protector. The Roma does not come with a removable liner, nor can one be purchased seperately. The Roma is really designed with the urban scooter commuter in mind that does not want a more aggressive motorcycle jacket. It is definitely better than wearing street clothes, but it is a compromise and does not offer the same level of protection as some of our more advanced textiles.

I would really recommend getting a different jacket. While the Safety Jacket Summer will certainly help with impact protection, the instant you go down in the Northface coat, it will shred on you, and the Safety Jacket isn't designed to provide abrasion protection. I would get a properly fitted dedicated riding textile to go over your Summer Jacket.

The Roma is a great little jacket, but we have sold out of them and they are no longer available. I have a bunch of other options for you that are also on the more reserved side of the styling spectrum that you should check out.

I really appreciate the commitment to help, seriously. I actually purchased one of the few remaining Roma jackets you had in your store on saturday. I think I'll stop by again and check out something a bit more geared for my riding. I work nearby at a smog shop.

There is one Rapture left in size 50 in our SoCal store. It is in the red color combo. That is the last jacket, and no more are going to be made. The Rapture was a single year jacket. Let me know if you want to nab that one, and I will have it transfered up.
 
Which pants are the most "normal" looking in the Dainese line that are actually protective. The New Yamato seems to look right, but is just cotton?

It is a Nylon/cotton blend that provides substantial abrasion resistance and also incorporates armor.

Thanks! A member is selling his Wave G2 for 50 and I'm planning to buy it for the jacket. Also out of the 3 back protectors, which one offers the best protection because they're priced very similar.
