hey everyone, i dont know alot of people on here but 3 weeks ago i lowsided on my bike and my dad thinks the bike is bad luck because i got the bike back the same week from the shop for some minor fixes. how do you guys feel about certain bikes. i love my bike to death but i don't know. thinking about selling it and buying another one. any opinion let me know. its a 06 f4i and it hasn't even hit 4k miles yet. i fell at 35 mph only fairing damage and dented exhaust.

All i know is that it's always the driver that guide the bike not the other way around

Why did you low side? Did the wheel lock up because a previous owner screwed up maintenance, or did you make a mistake and crash?

If the mistake is yours, then it's not the bike, it's you, and changing the bike isn't going to solve your problem.

Absolutely bad luck.

I'll give you $888 bucks for it. Eight's suppose to be a lucky number.

ok well short and sweet story because i just typed out a whole thing and my Internet shut off. but basically i was riding and this car decided to swerve into my lane to pass a car but instead he slows down a bit instead of speeding up. i didnt have enough time to slow down so i dumped the bike and let go instead of hitting the guy. i personally dont believe in bad luck but my parents think otherwise.

i was gong about 35 to 40 mph. in the first lane he was in the middle lane going about 25 30 mph slower then the marked speed it was on park persidio and fulton in sf

Sounds like good luck to me bud.

It's all my fault. At least, that what the wife says. Dude, own your mistakes. Driver/rider error. IMHO

for everyone i stayed true to what happen i am ok with what happen. i look at it as a learning experience so this isnt for me i just want some more info on what other people think. i just want to know if anyone else thinks like that. one of my other friends thinks the same way.

Does your license plate number have any 4's in it. If it does get rid of it imeadiatly and get a diferent bike. If you have a lot of 8's it's all good.

more bikes have bad luck from their riders...

otherwise, the bikes are safe by itself...

As one of my close friends used to say, this is what happens when you get stupidstitious.

Years ago I got a great deal on a 97 kx 250 because the PO bought it new and on the second day of ownership he gave himself a heart attack while ridding it. I thought that's sad but I'm not gonna miss out on a brand new bike for cheap. Now don't get me wrong... I don't believe in any weird shit but in this case that bike was cursed!!! I owned A LOT of bikes before it and A LOT of bikes after. This was the only one I ever had that in any conditions you would just all of a sudden be laying on the ground.

There are no bad luck bikes. Bikes are inherently good. Bikes can only make your bad luck better.

However, there have been a lot of bad riders happen to good bikes. Most mechanical problems are usually traceable to the nut on the seat. Occasionally the aura color of the bike doesn't match the aura of the rider. Make sure you always park the bike facing south for the most propitious karma. And if you haven't rotated the exhaust bearings counterclockwise twice, make sure you do that in months ending in "Y" from now on.

Check the nut between the seat and the bars.

Sounds like a lack of skill. Nothing to do with luck at all.
