I laughed with your description of the Cirio cacti as I describe them the same way. 
Their name is also Dr. Suessesque..... Cirio or Boojum. Yep, didnt make that up, Boojum. 
I've also still haven't been to the San Borjas mission yet. I need to make it one of these trips. Credit for that route goes to Cabrito I believe from two years ago. He was looking for a fun, scenic, yet easier route back to Bola. I think he hit it out of the ball park.

LOL! That is when it clicked for sure! I really enjoyed the sand this year, and it just wasn't a problem. Losing some weight, being in better shape and having my suspension sorted I'm sure helped a little too.
