BARFTRON HOMEBASE

Welp. That didn't work. Now I see why so many of those CPU coolers were open boxes. First off, the case fan in my Gateway isn't even a 120mm size, maybe 90(?) or so. Which meant I had no way to mount the new Corsair fan/radiator setup. And it also interfered with the power wire and connector on the motherboard.

So fuck it. I'll just leave it as is. Maybe in a year or two I build a custom PC from the case up properly.

That tells me that either people are not so good at knowing what fits their socket and case, can't figure out how to install them, and/or run into some other compatibility issue.

Hopefully I don't fall into this group and I went with the liquid cooler...

That sucks though. :twofinger

Dumbass friend throwing the DD...

I can't believe I let him shoot real guns right next to me.

Anyway, I don't have to write an appeal anymore and have time to play Xbox. Hooray beer! I guess nobody else plays Ghost Recon.

Oh, and I went hunting.....:devil:devil:devil

....and me, as soon as I finally tracked down the Dev in a lobby:

It was actually pretty fucking awesome.....as in my heart was pounding and my palms were sweaty as fuck, that type of playing. You see, the developers have grown tired of dicks like me going around left and right trying to shank them for their DICE Dev./Friend dogtags; that, and the majority of these guys are pretty fucking good at their own game - so it's not exactly a walk in the park to score one of these.

It's even more exciting when you think that this isn't a guarantee - as opposed to even the rarest programmed game occurrences...these tags are dynamically rare. Anyway, so I spotted the Dev - lvl. 100 Colonel if I remember correctly, in a Conquest Domination Match on Operation 925. I was on his team for half the match, with people constantly trying to switch teams in a bid to do the exact same thing I was attempting to do. Finally made the switch, hunted for a while before I settled on camping at C for him....minute goes by, a dude runs up doing non-stop circles around C, trying to not get caught slippin'.....this guy was seriously running circles as he was capping so his tag wouldn't get caught....but he didn't see me hiding behind the planter box next to him....:devil I waited and timed the lunge perfectly...as soon as his back was towards me I got up and ran out from the planter....his circle came around (counter-clockwise) to his left, meeting me face-to-face - with my knife simultaneously plunging into his throat and pulling his tags......This is all he saw:

Beautiful. Now can those dev tags be taken if someone knifes you? Or is there there no six degrees of separation thing? Otherwise Shades and I will be totally try hard to shank you.

And trollface tag...fucking epic.

:laughing - No, that's the beauty; you can only acquire one from a developer, you can't wear them - only display, the developer must also choose to be actively wearing his/her Dev. dog tag, (if he happens to be rocking the blank, boring dog tag when you get him? SOL.)

From what I've seen about half of the developers wear theirs while playing.

Ready to hunt? - STALK DICE

Good luck.

Oh we'll be making that on black ops 2. Supposedly the emblem editor is even better this time around.

Sucks to hear about your CPU cooler not panning out; just think of it as saving yourself $70 lol

Has anyone played the new BF3 DLC yet? I've been real busy and haven't had time yet; curious what the verdict is.

It was a huge download. Like 3 gigs. So I only played one map for like 10 minutes.

Seems like there's many more angles to get shot at from. Including what's right behind you because people can spawn and paradrop from the AC130 if their team is in control of it. But there's vehicles spread out all over the damn place.

A recon running a SOFLAM, an engineer with a javelin, and a support dropping ammo boxes is a damn good team on the ground. Otherwise the AC130 is pretty god damned unstoppable. Takes a shitload of hits to bring it down. So unless you have a well communicating team that can quickly work together and concentrate on that gunship...or the other team's air cover is just awful...that big fucker just keeps raining down a shitstorm.

is elite, on mw3 worth the download? ps3.

:)

been playing with Terminal map a ton, and it's got many more places to get sniped from. :laughing

At this stage...nope. With Black Ops 2 less than a couple months away, the amount of players on MW3 is getting less and less. Plus PS3 usually has less online than XBox so it might take awhile sometimes to get in a match on the elite playlist.

Not to mention, I don't think too many if any of the DLC maps have been any better than the original ones. Though Terminal is a winner for sure. I haven't even been on COD to get the latest map pack.

And on the DayZ front, I just tried Lingor Island. I like it a lot more than the original Chenerus map. Not as big and more military spawns. A lot more PVP threat...because lets face it, after you've gotten the hang of DayZ the zombies aren't much of a worry at all.

is elite, on mw3 worth the download? ps3.

No - Elite sucks in my opinion. I was stoked on it, that is, until Battlefield Premium was released, (more specifically, Close Quarters.) To quote my buddy Shades,

got close quarters , its like CoD but without the CoD.

:laughing - The only reason I play CoD nowadays is because I'm such an achievement whore and I want to finish the damn DLC cheevo's that I already purchased...otherwise Battlefield hands down.

If you don't play Battlefield? Sure - go for it.

Or start playing battlefield. They sell a premium edition now that is probably more cost effective than buying bf3 then premium separately.

Finally get it shades?

I've decided that the seat to be in on the Ac130 is the 2nd gunner. Pretty much is the same gun as in the attack helicopters. Loads faster and easier to actually lands hits on target, especially infantry.

Though I did enjoy getting a shot from the big cannon right through the cockpit of some fool that thought its be a good idea to fly a jet right towards the business side of the gunship.
