Everybody,

That's a ballsy photo to take at any time other than the middle of the night. ...

Question is how to get the photo without getting killed....

I was thinking about this through the middle of the day and realized that in a sense I'm asking folks who may be newbier-than-I and less-camera-versed-than-I to try to replicate this shot. I went back and found that I would call it unsafe to try on a sunny Sunday afternoon because more traffic means less available time. When I shot it last night -- about 8:00 pm -- I was the fourth and last vehicle in a moderate speed group and had about a minute to stop, get off, shoot, and get out of the tunnel.

If you check the spot out and don't *know* you can do it safely please tag it in another way.

... What do you got, five minutes minus the time it takes to ride through?

The signage says it's a five-minute light. I *think* this means green on one side, then five minutes later, green on the other, but I didn't time it to be certain.

Doing it the Tru Flava Way, i.e. at the east end, is safer because you'd be stopped right in front of the stopped on-coming traffic:

Doing it the Unpossible* Way is safer because you don't have to stop:

Doing it the Outside Way at either end is safer because you're not in the middle of the fricken road:

Really, Tag should be fun but SAFE. If people feel that this is too much, I'll happily post another location I shot today.

Been more than 24 hours. Somebody else going to get it, or do we get the thread title changed to "M4M: Mosquito and Ogglodyte play tag" :wtf

Thanks Skeet. Was having nightmares about this one and was going to post entrance and exit photos.
I think we should keep it on the sane and safe :thumbup
Wish I knew how to post from the phone.

Don't you get snippy with me Mister :x
Photo was INSIDE a tunnel that sees a lot of weekend traffic. No way I'm stopping inside the middle of a KNOWN raceway (I've been known to conduct serious speed tests there in my yudth)
Looks like I'll nail it this AM so...THERE! :p

Yah!

Just to show I really did give a twisted clue:

"O Palomar in the depths of my mind, if you can only forget to lose you just might get a head."

(And FWIW, that's also an oblique reference to one of the Thin Man movies ;o)
