Bay Area Photo Tag

Are those photos in the BA?
The two above that I recognize, that were pulled from elsewhere, aren't exactly "bay area" no, so they're probably not fair material (should I out the location?).

My bike isn't in the photo but here's a shot of the same stretch o' road:

If nobody gets it posted before I get off work I'm gearing up, rain or no. What rocks about Nemo's location is that it's just minutes away from a place basically everyone rides all the time. Hidden in plain sight.

Awesome first one Nemo, btw.

And when you get it, post up and then submit your own location within 12 hours.

Think of it like Leap Frog?

I'm confused now.

You have to actually ride to the place someone posted a pic THEN post one of your own after?
Yes. You must find the location, get a pic of your bike there, that makes you "it" and you then get to replace the location with a new one of your own that the next person must find. Rinse, lather, repeat... :)

12 hours to post the new one puts a slightly different spin on it. Not sure how far off the beaten track (and for how long) I want to wander in the rain on a work day. Hrmmm...

Now I wanna know where the monastery is! Don't know where the second set of photos are, though.

I know of a monastery in the mountains south of Monterey. Found it by accident on the barf rally last June. 17 miles of dirt to get there though. Fun on the little ninjette, in the rain.

+1

Guess we'll see who gets off work first, huh? Thematically appropriate if it's raining at the moment.

OK, I'm out of here. I've got some business to attend to, then I'm going to where I think Nemo's shot's at. SOMEONE, BEAT ME TO IT! :teeth

I think 12 hours might work for summer and with lots of players, but it's too tight a turnaround for a rainy work week.

Who's gonna get there first, gentlemen?

Less talkin', moar pichers!

Well done Ogglodyte! Now, get to round 2... :teeth

Nice, Todd, mind elaborating where it is?

And hurry up with your new location! :twofinger

Nice work, both of ya! I bet the people that work there were confused today..."why all the motorcycles?" The place is usually deserted.

It's the Sunol Water Temple, out in Sunol on Hwy. 82. It was built by the barons of the Spring Valley Water Company in 1910. Back before the Hetch Hetchy reservoir was built (in part to break Spring Valley's water monopoly), half of SF's water used to pass through the pipes and cistern beneath the temple. Nice ride on Palomares Road to get there, too.

Can't wait to see what your next location will be, Ogglodyte!
