I tried to do the [ gmap ] *link* [ /gmap ] thing, but my Google Map powahs are weak this eve. :laughing We could each tag winner to post a map of the site up...if I can ever figure out how.

Dunno where this one is either!

Did you copy the Google Map Email or HTML Embed link?
You want to use the HTML Embed link.. :thumbup
 
Tried both, no love. Also, we don't usually make it a policy to clean up threads, as we don't want to censor people--but what do folks think here? Cut the fat and keep the photos?

This location is smack in the middle of everything, only a few hundred yards from a major freeway, easily accessible, plainly visible, and practically nobody's ever been there. Very nice pick, Dave. :thumbup

Next one's gonna be tomorrow afternoon. Need a couple of zzz's before work.

I'll hold off until tomorrow afternoon for revealing the location of #3, that way more people still have a chance to exercise their noggins. I expected this one to go quick because *everyone* really has seen it and it's very close to the freeway, I really didn't expect it to go this fast though.

On the R6 forum, they have the Wives Girlfriends & Chicks thread, which is reserved for just pictures.
Then they have the comment/chatter thread for just that.

Seems to work pretty well, just an idea.
 
great thread idea, should be a lot of fun! I agree on the thought of splitting the game up regionally, so there's the potential for more photo action during lunchbreaks, etc.

the chatter adds flavor but keeping the thread more focused might get more people involved.

on the other hand, i'd hate for a mod have to babysit this specific thread just for people who click 'last' without reading the 1st post and leave a message.

i think people posting up bike pictures out of sequence (when it's not their "turn") could become distracting but it hasn't been, so far.

suggestion for the g-map:

skip the route lines from 1 point to the next. as this progresses i see potential for those to add a LOT of clutter.

plus, no guarantee the person took a direct route. :cool

Personally I think it should be ok to post out of sequence. Not everyone that wants to participate can easily ride across X amount of counties to take a pic. Just my 2.5 cents :ride
