Best-Looking Tank in Motorcycling?

E6v3D4H.jpg

Fire extinguisher tank on a Honda Hobbit.

I realize nobody would agree with me (for good reason), but this tank is exactly what got me into motorcycling and is thus the best to me.

That said, my Vision ate stators like they were Skittles. God I loved and hated that damn thing. :nchantr

back in the day, we 500cc "enthusiasts" absolutely ragged on youse Vision guys -

bizarro styling [compared to a 550 Seca]
shopping cart F axle location
odd wheels
etc., etc.

Oh, it was a heap of shite. The thing couldn't turn right to save its life. But it's not my fault; it was my first bike and I was a clueless kid with no mentor. I loved that thing when it would charge the battery. I wanted to murder it when it wouldn't. :|

well despite all its issues, I definitely remember a Vision running in AMA Superbike.....

I liked the Factory Yamaha MXers with the leather straps to hold on the tank

also, check out the trellis frame on that 50-year old [!] CR110 DOHC 50cc

Worked well when I raced that very CR110 at Cotati back in 1971 (taking 2nd place):

The picture you see was taken in 2011 (40 years later) after a complete restoration by an expert in that series of Honda racing motorcycles.

I would not want to jam on the brakes with a tank like that under any circumcision. I mean circumstances. Jeez...
