Bimota DB10R
Simple. Metal. Italian.
Worked well when I raced that very CR110 at Cotati back in 1971 ....
thats a winner Max.
however I scrolled down through this thread expecting to see Ricky Cory's tank on display. did I miss it?
Cotati. Site of my worst high-side-end-over-ender. But it was the only thing going.
Ah, the old Z1R. Almost bought one of those in late 77'; got the KZ650 of same color instead. They are still the FIRST "Cafe'" bike ever from the Japanese as far as I'm concerned...
Cool pic! That is a beautiful childhood memory, right there, for both grandsons & grand dadI always thought the original Ducati Monster tank was one of the best, the way the various curves fit and how well it integrates with the rest of the bike. Even those angles at the back and bottom where it touches the seat and exposes a little bit more of the engine add to its looks.
Gratuitous photo of the one I use to own with a couple of my grandsons in the photo (they're now both teenagers):

Made me go back & look! Some say the rear view of a R1150GS tank looks like a female behind...![]()

Three pages and no mention of an RD400 coffin tank? Whippersnappers!

What I've learned about this thread is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
And you people have some screwy eyes.....

I was the first to point that out on this threadIt's nice to see the original Galluzzi-designed Ducati Monster M900 recognized. Certainly an icon in simplicity of design.
