playa, if you're asking what dealer u can get the best deal on a panigale... u can't afford one... when i bought my ducati, i tipped the salesman 3Gs :twofinger

Did you seriously tip the salesman $3K? That's on top of his sales commission? You should be riding a DesmosediciRR if that's the case, baller!

Took delivery of my 1199 Panigale S ABS two weeks ago from Monroe Motors on Valencia in SF. They were really great. I was able to conduct most of the business parts over email when I was away on business. I showed up, signed a few papers, got a tour of all the features and was on my way.

I dunno, I dont think I have the guts or the savings account to buy a bike without even riding it first.

Takes a special kind of person I guess.

You're probably right... but still want one. Dont mind buying MSRP, but I DO mind paying dealer fee, dealer daughter going to college fee, dealer has a date tonight fee, etc. I also am looking for a dealer who would take the time to explain the features etc. rather than grab the cash and send me on my way... At any rate, seems like I'm in good hands at Motor Cafe. Thanks for all your input!

Thats calld the "Three C's" motorcyle delivery.

"C yer bike?" (point to the bike)
"C yer keys?" (hand them the keys)
"C ya later!" (wave goodbye....hahahah)

:thumbup

If this ever happens to you, never go back to that dealership.

Congrats, may you ride it with care, may we see more of your bike on the road or in front of the local coffeebrrlshop or piizza place.

Have you thought about going directly to Italy?

Three of the four Ducatis that I owned were purchased without riding them first. I must be special. :)

The first was the 1997 M900 Monster which was arranged over the phone. I drove 160 miles to the dealer, signed a bunch of papers, looked it over, then rode it home. The next one was my ST2, which I couldn't ride because I was recovering from a broken hand (from crashing the Monster) at the time. The third was the 888 SPO which was obviously in excellent condition, but the seller didn't allow any test rides. I didn't allow test rides on that one either before I sold it.

If you know you want the top of the line Ducati, and are familiar with the brand, how do you feel that a test ride would change anything?

Oh, and congratulations on the beautiful new bike, KillThrash.

Yep. I had a friend who bought his BMW directly from the factory over there and they helped him get there, take a tour, secure all the paperwork and even drive around europe. Alas, Ducati had no such program. You could though, tour the factory.

^ Who's in the vacationing and touring business? Seems like a bundle could be made.

"I went to Italy and all I have to show for it is this red motorscooter."

I bought my 848SE Corse from ACE. No deals but Augie is good people and I would buy from him again. Im lucky enough to have a Duc Shop in my town so getting parts isnt an all day ordeal but they are expensive, even with my 10 percent discount on Ducati parts its still hard to swallow sometimes:p.

I used the Sacramento/Roseville dealer for my first service because I knew Clay could help set up my suspension and give me a class on how to adjust it myself, Im sure I could have figured it out myself but I had him swap out the rear spring, install a ride height adjuster and set the sag for around a $100. I had to pay for the spring and adjuster myself.

I havent had any problems with the bike so I have no idea how any of these shops are when a warranty issue comes up.*knocks on wood*
