Gracious comments from Rossi about Hayden's championship.

I'm starting to get concerned about the Michelin tires for next year.

Nicky should have called Checa to ask him how the CBR treats MotoGP exiles. its still the same bike after all and Checa had a great time with it :laughing

Sure the bike is old but didn't one of these online mags say Honda is gonna have a new CBR1000RR for 2017?

Going to be interesting seeing Hayden racing twice a day, looking forward to it.

How is this a big deal?

He grew up racing ten races a day or more. in his AMA Superbike years, he did a bunch of AMA Flat Track which included at least one heat and one main. He still trains relentlessly and has always had a reputation for putting in the most laps on test days. If anything, he's probably looking forward to it. These guys love to race. More racing is better.

i have zero faith in Honda that it will stack up the R1 or the new ZX. its always too little, too late with them.

hes older. his wrist will never be the same. the bike is heavier (although it wont brake as hard). etc etc.

hes a worker, so IMO it wont be a big deal. but u never know.

Hayden will likely have a SBK career trajectory similar to Melandri's. It will take him a little while to get warmed up, but when he does - watch out. It will require an updated CBR or a team switch. Hayden on the new Yamaha would be awesome.

When Rossi takes the ship and Lorenzo gets a pay cut, will Lorenzo pull a Rossi, have a hissy fit and leave Yamaha?

It will be interesting, that's for sure. Nicky's not the kid he was 12 years ago. And as much as I like him, he's never been a top world class rider. I rode with him at trackday 11 years ago, and I easily kept up with him in the hot pits on the outlap.
