Cars that make your jaw drop.

There was a time I was buying beater station wagons,
they do haul two Jet Skis inside, roof rack will hold sailboards.
With the big block, it will give GOOD foot.

I'm looking for a early 50's Dodge pickup

I love this so hard!!

What I always have in the back of my head when my spirit gravitates towards some rare long forgotten cool classic....
Am I going to be able to find xxxx part when I need it?
My least favorite thing in building cars/bikes is hunting for parts.

Good luck, I'd love to follow the progress with a dedicated build thread....

The wheels are

My friend’s husband died suddenly and she has one of these wagons partially restored. Pretty incredible car and she needs it gone ASAP,it’s the last item anchoring to a property she can’t afford.

dibs.
edit; I got the owners contact info from Gwen. If anyone else is interested, please let me know by PM or text, and I will pass the info on.

Also, what wound up on the other trailers?!?!?!
A 1953 Plymouth Suburban. Never seen or heard of it before we saw it on the mountain.

Those are the stock 'flower' wheels that came on my 2017 Ford Taurus SHO. Ford and Mercury have used the same 5x4.5 (5x114.3) for almost 70 years now. I knew we were gonna need some tires that held air, so I bought 4 along, and it paid off.

A little follow up on the Mercury Colony Park.
Pressure washed it. Finally got the hood open, and verified the originality of the engine bay. Stock 'Marauder' red valve covers and '390 Special' air cleaner assembly. Still has the glass windshield washer bottle, and the Mercury Head coolant overflow tank, as well as the often discarded brass coolant expansion tank. The engine is complete and together, making me think that it's not an engine failure that sent her to the wrecking yard.
Got all 4 doors working, and rolled the drivers window up. More testing and cleaning to come.

Keeping it ugly, yes. I'm currently looking for the right steel wheels and hub caps. It's funny to me how many people LOVE the flower wheels, but they're not right on this wagon.

A trip to the hardware store,
More of a breezy, street rod ?
Summer heat from asphalt,
Baking your butt.
Just realized that's a k-series in that buggy, almost like a poor mans ariel atom that you can off-road and go camping with. SWEET
