Cars that make your jaw drop.

This guy tried to sneak in on the Aston’s.

A very expensive, fast car made in LA by people who aren't the ones who restomod Porsches into very expensive, fast cars in LA and have a very Czimilar name.

Honestly, I don’t think they care if they sell a single car. There’s been a handful of deliveries, but certainly not enough at this point to call themselves an automaker. Even though they literally make every part of the car. The whole point of the Czinger is to be a rolling exhibition for Divergent…which is the parent company. And they make 3D printed car parts. Something that other manufacturers have enlisted their services for.

Here’s the rear subframe and a brake caliper/steering knuckle they brought to SEMA a few years ago.

Nice. Any other Aston’s on the Ave. pics?

I like their stuff. Classy fast.

That's fucking bananas. Did AI design it?

The original Czinger 12C set the Laguna Seca lap record in 2020. I was there that day doing a track day and remember seeing them getting the car ready in the garage. Didn’t even know what I was looking at the time. Just remember seeing all that metal work that looked more like spider webs than any kind of traditional cast or extruded metal.

Anyways, I don’t think “AI” was what it is today 7-8 years ago when they designed that thing. You best believe some computers were involved though. Analyzing load forces and stress points and putting just enough metal in just the right places to do the job all while packaging the powertrain and other components. If I was an engineer, I’d nerd out over more. As a technician, I see that stuff and wonder just how big of a pain in the ass is it to work on.

Finite element analysis has been around for a while. I’ve seen some pretty wild designs that are “just strong enough”…

I was thinking there'd by a ton of FEA and CFD for aero going on there

And yet a Ferrari Luce beat that and sold for $40M. I had to check that twice to make sure that wasn’t AI fake news.
