Cell phone in hand ticket

I guess every judge I've testified in front of misinterpreted spriggs as well :rolleyes

It is totally possible. You know just as well as the rest of us that even if you have a fighting chance, most judges are so sick of hearing all the bull, when a defendant speaks in traffic court, they sound like Charlie Brown's teacher.

Got the letter yesterday; happy to report that I have won this one and my ticket was dismissed. Yeaah!!

And it'll take up to another 3 to get my money back acording to the letter. So the county will have earned a 6-month nterest on MY money. Another way, we the poor citizens, get ripped by our govt.

At today's interest rate, that will be just about enough to cover the postage to send it to you. :laughing

Two wrongs don't make it right.
How about not requiring the citizen to pay the bail upfront ? That sounds better doesn't it?

The thing is, I have a long commute to work and from work to clients sites So I spend a fair amount of time in my car exposed to the sun. I bought the expensive tint that blocks the heat and harmful rays, yet very light so to not get in trouble. Is there anything I can say or do about this?

Nothing. For the most part, glass alone blocks most harmful radiation. Tint is unnecessary for that purpose. If you are that worried about it, you can get anti-UV treatments that don't significantly darken the windows.

When we bought our truck back in 1999 we had tint installed on the rear window, and the rear side windows. At the time the tint place asked if we wanted legal tint on the front side windows - they had a special tint that blocked UV and IR but was perfectly legal for visible light transmission. They even gave us a certificate that stated that it complied with the appropriate laws. Looking at the windows they didn't look tinted at all, but the interior of the truck stayed a lot cooler after the tint was applied.

Yup, there are clear tints that block UV and IR and make the car a lot cooler. 3M makes some that people actually do on their windshield to keep their cars cool.
