Clash of Clans

i just went from silver 3 to gold 3 in a day...I'm still having trouble figuring out a base for farming now. So far I am able to fend off most attackers, only been 3 starred once since update.

I'm a TH 8 trying to get all my skull walls while maxing out my splash/ad dmg. I'm losing about 5k DE a day though.
 
All I find myself doing now is pushing to masters, upgrade my royals, drop down to gold sniping de along the way, upgrading my royals and pushing back up. Trying to get to 20/20 before January.

The biggest thing that pisses me off is the personal break timer. That needs to go away now.

We just got to level 8 as a clan and are killing it in clan wars. I think we are 45-2 on our war log. Going to be doing a push in January.
 
The personal break timer keeps people from using bots to never get attacked. It's a good thing for that reason.
 
I noticed another nice thing with the new update. Revenge is so much easier now. Before the update, I never bothered looking for a revenge attack because all of they always had a shield. Now, a good number of them are open for revenge attacks.

I love revenge. You can peek into their base without costing any shield, and you can keep going back until they have saved up resources.

Actually, with the new change, you can look around everywhere without costing your shield. Your shield only goes down if you start an attack. It'll still cost you gold to hit 'next,' but your shield remains intact.

Yeah, but that seems to be a sledge hammer approach.

Kicking me out of the game is not a good way to keep me playing the game.

Luckily they just announced they are making some tweaks to the system so hopefully it gets better.
 
I've lost 35k DE since the update. That gives me a net add of 10k. I'm thinking of just going TH10 and maxing the Inferno Towers so I can protect my loot. There is no way i'll be able to get 125kDE for my AQ upgrade at this rate.

Agreed. I protect my oil much more than my TH and I save the oil roughly half the time. I only raid bases where there is 3k or more oil available and am more conscious of the shield (i.e. I won't put in that extra attack before going to sleep if it means the shield will run out before I wake up). With these adjustments, I've seen my net increase go up a bit. It's still far lower than what it was before the update, but I'm getting into the rhythm of it.

All in all, I like the update. It takes more skill to advance now.

I've got maxed infernos, xbows, mortars, and 2 of my archers towers. It doesn't help.... What used to help is to only stock pile 1 resource.

I also noticed that it seems like all of a sudden everyone has Inferno towers, I don't know if they just changed the match making or what.

My AQ is at 14, I was planning on going to 15 before the update. I don't see how its possible now though.

We do go to war, but were not a "war clan". I can usually 2 star in the top 5 with the right combination of troops and spells. I got as far as I did by spending my dark elixir on hogs for attacking.

Not that impressive, but that is what upgraded all my defenses and troops.

I would be nice to have a lvl 40 queen, but I don't think its worth staying at a TH for... I focused mostly on my defenses, not so much the walls as they weren't important prior to the update. Now I'm working on the walls, got the queen up to 15 and just go the Grand Warden.

The 1 gem boost has been nice!

What level do you guys have your heroes at?
