I would have moved it but... well, you know. :flag

I can easily configure a NEW pc from newegg for under 700 w/ a intel quad and the latest ati 5770 card, the rest you can figure out....

Now imagine scratching everything and buying most/some parts used. Yep $400 is totally doable and not impossible.

Don't be mad you suck at shopping/looking for deals. :laughing

If you want to show me your setup for 500-700 I can show you why it is not that great. Yea it might run some games but it won't run them like my machine will.

an ati 5770 around 170ish
power supply to run that card 80ish
memory 20ish
cpu 120ish
proper heat sinks for gaming 70ish
All the proper fans to make sure you have postive air flow 50ish
Case 150ish
DVD rom 40ish
Hard Drive 120ish
Cables and misc 50ish

You have just blown half your stack on a video card, case and power supply.

I will guarantee that whatever you get is going to be the bottom of the barrell for speed and lasting power. The speed on the memory. on the front bus and anything else is going to be sub par for gaming.

an ati 5770 requires a power supply that is at least 80 dollars. There goes a 1/3rd of your money right there.

Read the thread topic.

First off you wasted money for the following items: HD/Case. Cables and misc? please those usually are all provided with the hardware. :laughing

Here is a quick one I did just to piss you off :)

80 plus on PSU, lifetime warrenty on GPU and Caviar Black for HD. just as a bonus too :twofinger

"Yea it might run some games but it won't run them like my machine will."

That pretty much sums it up on how much you know about computers. I bet you are the type who just looks up what is the best/worst and what is compatible with what items. You sound like the typical pc builder who really doesn't know jack except what looks cool or is the best.

Here is a review of the 5770.

Heck if you wanted outright better performance over dx11 support, you can get the ati 4890 for even cheaper.

For any gamer on the budget, this is plenty of power and can run most games on max settings @ 1280x and 1600x resolutions and some at 1920x too.

Edit, changed the pic to 4890 and forgot to add a dvd burner so added that too. Take into account of mail-in-rebates that will lower the price. I used newegg to demonstrate since everyone knows that etailer. However if you are a smart shopper, you can get all these parts for even cheaper/free shipping/no tax charge at other places

This game has a campaign mode? WTF? :twofinger

I haven't played single player/campaign on any of the last 4 or 5 FPS's that I have purchased.

Why? Waste'o time.

In any case... it's probably this attitude that makes the developers feel like they don't need to have a beefy campaign, just so long as the multi-player rocks, that's all that matters.

Like throwing money in the wind.....

Finished the game this morning. Story seemed a little shorter and it did seem a little more easier... Though this was hardened mode and not veteran. Gonna try multiplayer later tonight and maybe run the game again in veteran mode.

I hate it when I drop $$$ on a new fps game and finish it in a day. :p

HAHAHAHAHA LEVEL 2, BITCHES!!!

BOW DOWN BEFORE ME.
