That's all you really have to do....scare them. There's a reason why they don't bother the dealers in TL.....the dealers let it be known that they will beat the crap out of them.

Both covers were cut off.

I can't share the garage. Either I get it, or the upstairs neighbor gets it, no exceptions.

sounds like a perfectly good reason to get more bikes so you can justify having a full garage.

Ha :) Good point.

If I see this SOB crouching next to my bike when I get home after last call tonight, it's going to get ugly.

as a 2 time victim of sparkplug thievery, i say to them now... good luck fuckers! :finger good luck even fidning the sparkplug wires leading to the sparkplugs! :devil

In this case crackheads are smart. Who wants to waste time dealing with a Buell? :laughing

Just go to a mechanic shop and get a few used plugs from them... put them in a bag and leave next to a sign next to the bike:

"If you need a plug, please help yourself to one from the bag, and leave the ones on my bike alone. Thanks, and happy high times to you. :thumbup"

(I am partially serious... it may just work.)

Faz, that's an awesome idea, thanks. I'll just leave one propped on top of the cylinder when its parked in front of my place... you wouldn't see it unless you were looking for it, so it shouldn't attract too much attention from the casual observer, and it just might get him/her not to break another one.

I have NEVER heard of this before.

Gawd, I gotta get out more.

never. the plugs in the f2 as with most sportbikes are deep in the head and require tools to get @. crackheads sold their tools a long time ago to get crack. get a bike where you can't see the plugs and you'll never have this problem again.

Inaccessible spark plugs were a must have when I bought my last bike.
Yes, I live in San Francisco.

Okay so why do hey want the spark plug heads. Be nice I was in the midwest for a long time.

To smoke crack with them, or, as WackiIraqi says, to break car windows.

I would say just cover them in something not toxic to skin, but toxic if respired or eaten, and then put a sign up that says so. But you'd probably kill some dumb crackhead and then get sued.

I believe this poll violates the TOS as it may be extremely offensive to former crack-heads members of BARF.

strange as it seems, spark plugs are often stolen from motorcycles away from crackhead infested neighborhoods...

seems more common in the marina, pacific heights, russian/nob hill areas rather than the inner tenderloin, mission, hunter's point area...probably cuz the gangbangers will kill them...

I've even talked to a customer that's a cop that is stationed in the Tenderloin and he said he's never confiscated spark plugs from any of the multitude of crack heads in the area...
Actually I replace a broken plug about once a day in the TL... We replace them for the cost of the plug...

So, has it happened to you? Happened to me twice in two weeks (and I live in a very quiet neighborhood, at the top of a rather big hill, far away from the Tendernob).

Yes, yes, I park on the street (sidewalk, actually). If my landlord didn't want $200 a month for the garage, it probably wouldn't have happened, but alas...

Mine got taken when I lived on 30th and Balboa.
