CL's Greatest Crackhead Post from SFO
If someone already posted this forgive me. Hysterical read / must read nonetheless: http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/sfo/27499971.html
So yeah, I had this KZ 440 with accessible plugs and I would lose a spark plug a week during the high season. It got to be a comical game (and a lot cheaper than the one I play with DPT). But until I knew what was happening I thought people were knocking the bike over and standing it back up. Had no idea what was happening. The post helped alot.
Later on, I came to find out that the plugs can be used by the more delinquent juveniles to "tag" bus-stop plexiglass and other attractive targets. After my car got stolen, a cop told me that pilfered plugs are deemed burglary tools and possession of them is a crime. Apparently the density of the ceramic busts auto glass with ease and so they are popular for this reason too. Oh well. The joys of living in the city.
