This is the DOJ anti-spam solution they announced early this year. You sign up and it "orders" spammers to stop sending you shit. They threw the On switch almost 2 weeks ago- has anyone had good resaults? Me- not so much. Nice start, but is was if the spammers learned wqorkarounds a day or two after and off to the races we go. Here's my Junk Mail folder count since they threw the switch, note the count trend;

A person/company is given a list of people and told,

"These are legitimate email addresses. Please, do not email them."

The same was done with the DO NOT CALL list. By your anecdotal stats, looks to be not-working, as the phone list failed as well.

Unless someone is monitoring, spammers gonna spam.

Unless spammers are given jail time, it will never stop. I get very little spam. I put that down to never answering calls I don’t recognize and not clicking on anything suspicious or unknown to me. This includes websites that ask for ID’s like news companies. Be extremely selective on what you click on.

There is a fine written in the law, but of course its hard to collect from intrawebnet vapor... Now I wonder if they found a way to privatize enforcement with a juicey financial award- the bastids would roll over on each other like a golden retriever.
