Destination Ride Restaurants - Feeling it? What are your fav's?

Crescent City: Torero's, on 101, at N end of town. Mostly typical (i.e. good) Mexican fare, but their birria (only on Sat.) is superb.

Ben Lomond, Ca: Spanky's, on Hwy 9 in town. Great breakfasts, friendly crew. Small and cash only.

This is a frequent go to for me. Their patio is nice in back and the Corn Beef Hash is worth having over and over. CBH fan so when I find a good one I will go again.

got them in (y) also added a note to Torero's about the Birria on Saturday ;)

somehow hadn't realized we were onto a 14th page :facepalm

I forgot Cafe 1 on Hwy 1 in Ft. Bragg, and the Bluebird Cafe in Ukiah. Both great breakfasts.

On the ride back from Weaverville I stopped at Creswell Bakery. About 20 min south of Eugene, OR. Amazing chicken pot pie hand pie and other pastries. Worth the short detour off the bomb home on 5. https://www.creswellbakery.com/

Got both on the map :thumbup

Okay, this one does not appear to be on the list.

The Oney Frosty (I don't understand it either) in Adin, CA. I can't say enough good stuff about this place, but I will make one complaint about them - their hours are too short. This is an old school drive-in with things done the right way. Burgers are great, and the fruit shakes are a delight. The thing I particularly liked were the hand battered onion rings. Not poured out of a bag from the freezer, but peeled, sliced, battered, and fried right there in scenic Adin.

If you're wondering where Adin can be found, it's on 139 between Susanville and Alturas, which is actually a lovely and scenic road, and a great way to get up into eastern Oregon.

flying nun,

Thanks for the recommendation of the Oney Frosty. 139 isn't the most twisty path but it is off the beaten, less CHP per mile and cooler in summer. Makes a great leg of a loop that might include other long stretches in the area.

A little research revealed an Oney family in the region. Probably related. Next spring/summer, I'll be there!

Just had pizza at Pizzaria Vittoria. Very good, off 17 five miles south of the Cats. Good beers too.

got it added.

additions and removals done, except for Patti's...google and their facebook (linked from google) appear to show business as usual for that one, with posts about being open on New Year's 🤔 or is that a bunk page?

I was in Quincy a few years ago and Patti's was closed down. It appears that they are now open.

I am told

Renata’s Crêperie, Arcata, is very good

Also, we are regulars at
Highway 36 east, Mill Creek is killer. A bit spendy, but way good
