Destination Ride Restaurants - Feeling it? What are your fav's?

Putting me to work :rant :laughing :thumbup

ditto :teeth

Little A'Le'Inn, Rancher Cafe & Moab Brewery are added to the Nevada/Utah section. Snowshoe Brewing, Bistro Espresso, Rossetti's, Lake Alpine Lodge, and a 2nd location for Lube Room have all been added to the California sections.

Did a quick pass through the main list and didn't catch any others missing, but let me know if I missed something.

Just realized we are missing a Nevada classic. The Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel, NV. https://www.littlealeinn.com/

Place for a cold beverage and a slice of pie along the Extraterrestrial Hwy. Just make sure you have enough gas to get there and back. :cool

Stopped there on my way to Colorado in May. Cool spot, I rolled up on fumes, so yeah, gas up and carry extra if you have a small tank like me! Also watch pumps at the nearby gas station. The one I used was flowing well and overflowed the tank before I was able to release the handle. Luckily the place was empty so no one else had to enjoy my Eu De Petrol scent.:facepalm

Down 29 Palms way there’s a desert roadhouse/biker bar called Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown that’s worth a stop or a stay. It’s old school, with live music, pool tables, decent food. https://pappyandharriets.com/home/

From their website:
MUSIC, MEZCAL, BBQ, BIKERS, BOOZE, BOOTS, FAMILIES, FRIENDS, VETS’ + PETS, ALL UNDER ONE DUSTY DESERT ROADHOUSE ROOF.
:ride :thumbup

Also, sadly, Lisa Cheesa Cake and her The Hope Valley Cafe are gone - we were going to lob in there and have some of her famous French toast last time we were up in the Sierra but it was closed up.

Just south of Gardnerville and just over the NV-CA stateline on 395 at Lake Topaz is the Topaz Lodge and Casino. This was a standard stopover for us on our annual Death Valley run. Besides decent rooms, a comp drink voucher when you check in and cheap NV gas at the Chevron, their Steak House restaurant serves up some of the best dining fare in the Sierra. Last place in the world you’d expect to find it, too. The fine dining is only open Fri-Sun nights, but the rest of the week it’s still a good stop if you’re looking for a place to crash out there, and they have a coffee shop/restaurant that serves up decent hot meals 24 hours a day.

Dang, guys, I thought I already gave you all my good stuff, but looking through the list I see a number of omissions - guess I was keeping some of my faves a secret so I could get in without having to wait in line for a bunch of bikers… :laughing

Well anyway, this one is a good one if you’re planning on doing the Lost Coast/Usal road run: The Gyppo Brewery https://gyppo.com/ up in Shelter Cove.

You can fly in if you don’t feel like riding - the beer garden overlooks an airstrip. And there’s a campground/RV park you can crawl to after dinner; or a 10 minute ride away on Chemise Mountain Road are a couple of BLM primitive campgrounds where you can pitch your tent.

List updated. Hopefully got them all. :afm199

Thanks for staying on it deathbug! :thumbup

It’s been a couple years since I’ve seen the Downieville (49) CoyoteVille Cafe open.
Looking for a good place in Downieville.
Will recommend The Farmhouse in Sierraville Ca.
They have biscuits and gravy with eggs and their smoked sausage as a menu item, no sides needed.

You bet! :thumbup

added Pappy & Harriet's, Gyppo, The Farmhouse, and Topaz Lodge; updated Coyoteville Cafe & Hope Valley Cafe to grey markers and noted closures/probable closures.

The Hope Valley Cafe has reopened as the Alpine Grill. Same owners as Sorensen's Resort Cafe. I stopped after the ownership changed but before the remodel. Only one person working, cook, counter person and waitress. She was working hard but service was very slow. Picture of the new interior shows it may have lost some of its charm.

"New owners, fresh new look! Daily specials! Korean BBQ! Pastries! Soft serve And cold beer coming soon! 17590 hwy 89 Woodfords, Ca

Sierra Mar at the Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur, is outstanding. “Fine Dining”.

Mill Creek: Highlands Ranch Resort, on highway 36, is awesome

Looks like Sierra Mar is there (in the "South of Middle" batch), and Highlands Ranch Resort has been added.

Thanks for the update; updated the marker to green, and changed the name in the map to Alpine Grill, with the note indicating new ownership and the prior name.

Should Fred's be on this? I think i had some pizza there. Chicken wings?

No way :laughing

Good grub had at Duartes today. :thumbup :ride

Sierra Mar is described as "Fine Dining" which in this case is really high end, and spendy. But worth it for a special occasion or if your budget accommodates these things. It is spectacular. Really good for a special occasion.

Time consuming too, so not so much a motorcycle stop.

Edit: "big baller dollars!"

Gotcha...i'll add some more notes accordingly, something like "fine dining, budget time & wallet accordingly".

edit: when i went in to add notes, it already has one that says "big baller dollars!" :laughing

Rally talk has me thinking

Delta, UT The Rancher Café and Hotel https://the-rancher-cafe-hotel.edan.io/
nastiest/scariest place I have ever spent the night but the café was good

Moab, UT Moab Brewing https://www.themoabbrewery.com/
Eaten here on at least three trips. Cold beer, good food, TVs if you need them, and they used to have ice cream at the entrance

Moab Brewing is reasonably decent, though there are a few little mom and pop cafes/diners in town that are pretty good. Of course, I can't remember the names of any of them. Moab is such a cool town, though.

I will see if I can work the Rancher Cafe and Hotel into my Hawthorne trip.

I believe this thread is also the 'Best burger" thread also,

I did leave Sylvesters, of Los Osos, as my best in Morro.
I find myself lost in Cottonwood, , ,
First three tries, ordered medium, got crunchy charred, medium to raw red inside, three different shops. I consider a miss, no winners.
I need to try another Haunted Burger in Jerome, Sedona, is bragging about theirs, traveling temps are coming down.
I have Chile Verde covered, July 4th, I hit a shop in Jerome, zippy, tangy, with heat, just three of us in there for the day, my win.
