Do Harley's Attract More Women?

Since I bought my Ural, its amazing how many women want to go for a ride. But not a good reason to buy a particular motorcycle in my opinion...

it is the second best reason to buy a particular motorcycle!

(first is personal enjoyment of riding it...i guess)

Agreed. Harleys do attract more women because of the brand image of a brutal, loud motorcycle.

Most women know nothing about bikes so when you tell them you ride a Suzuki or Kawasaki they assume you're a techno faggot poser riding a fake racing bike. Sad truth...

So true.

If you give a woman a ride on a Harley you just gave a woman a motorcycle ride. If you give a woman a ride on a Gixxer you are obviously fucking her and she's on the bike because she likes you. Do I need to explain why?

The rider attracts the women and/or girls. Big diff between those two as well... Depends what you're after.

Which two wheels is a smaller detail. The stereotypical image of a biker is attractive; free, nonchalant, devil may care persona. Thats a big reason many ride as well. We want to be or learn to be that.

Personality and common sense- ftw

p.s. I want to buy a scooter and start a thread of experiences

Fuck everything about this thread title.

Then answer is yes but it doesn't matter. Because most women prefer anything other than a motorcycle, Harley or otherwise. So you are talking about 2 in 10 instead of 1 and 10. Nothing that really changes the game. It's still in this order: social status, personality and looks.

But my rule has been since my divorce, if she doesn't like sport bikes and going fast, jog on!:teeth I am very happy now. I think people trip on mass appeal rather than realizing they just need the right one.

Hardly. Just calling your shit attitude out.

I ride both. Didn't buy either as a pickup tool. In my experience more women are drawn to the Harley.

Smart n00b is smart.

I still say he's doing it wrong. I get random girls at the bar who love riding on the back of my DL650.

Not just Hardleys but cruisers in general.
They are designed to be attractive on a very superficial level.
Most females have only a very superficial interest in motorcycles and Hardleys/cruisers are designed to look good and attract attention above all else. Also most cruiser do emphasize passenger comfort [at least the ones equipped with "sissybars"] So I can see how and why they would be preferred by women who rather you had a convertible Ferrari but, if its gona be a 2wheel vehicle might just as well be just as poserific.
As far as I'm concerned, while I do in general like females and wouldn't mind using any tools at my disposal to attract the ones I'm interested in, including superficial bling I like motorcycling far too much to ever even consider owning a bike that I don't enjoy riding just to impress womens.
And cruisers are truly the only bikes that do nothing for me. They are the exact opposite of everything In like about motorcycles. And I do not speak from ignorance, my first two bikes where cruisers and I've rode quite a few different ones [both Hardleys and metric]
