Do you have a type?

I like 'em big.

Heavy-ish. So when I'm really slinging 'em around corners I feel like I'm really hustling but I'm not really going that fast. The thrill of being Ricky Racerboy, but not likely to get a speeding ticket. :teeth

I'm slow, but I don't feel slow.

This bike serves no practical purpose for my needs. It's probably not particularly comfortable and the handling must be garbage with presumed equally poor braking. In spite of all that, I want one. Hey, nobody said motorcycles are rational!

I pity that poor bike if you get it.
I'm envisioning that thing with nobbies.
I kinda like it.
But I'm guessing there'll be nothing left but bent rims and a cracked frame in about a week. :laughing

Used to be any bike that came easy..
BMW R50/2, Norton Atlas, Vincent Rapide, View attachment 599576Matchless G50, BSA Spitfire, 3 Commandos, 4 Triumph twins, then Darma, 907ie, GS1000sz, Vf1000R, R80GS, MotoGuzzi V50 .....all over the map.....but....no cruisers, please.

Now, I've winnowed it down to
Town Bonneville
Country BMW RS
And Adolescent KTM 690
I raced a V 50 once.

I've had a bucket load of bike over the years, but the one I've owned the longest (16 years) has turned out to be my favorite, so I guess it's my type. gal-73368_crop.jpg

Nope... I've been all over the map: Cruisers, ADV, Streetfighter, want a super moto. Very much a motopolygamist after being in a 100,000 mile monogamous relationship with a V-Strom for 15 years.

When I think of Versey's , I think of you.
I'm fairly certain you own them on multiple continents. That says something to me.
But Hun......I was fairly certain you were gonna drop your Guzzi on us.

I love the Goose! I do, but the fact that I keep buying Versys (3 650's and 1 1000 so far), and that I'm looking at them again kinda makes me guilty.

Some years back another BARFer asked why I didn't ride a liter bike and instead kept buying middleweight twins. Judging by the look on the questioners face, my answer must have been a surprise. I said, I'm not good enough. I can flog that 650 like nobody's business, wring its neck, bang downshifts, stand it on its nose, and corner it hard, and still come back and ride it the next day. The questioner was at that time riding a CBR1000RR, and I'd have long ago crashed my brains out on one of those. As Clint Eastwood said in one of his movies, "A man's got to know his limitations."
