Uhh, I'd get suspended if I told you how wrong you are, and what I think of that MCUSA tester, as someone reporting on that bike.

MCUSA had a tester (Steve Atlas)..but I haven't seen his name on a test for quite a while...I suspect he gave up on that bunch, and moved on.

I take it MCUSA writers aren't that special? This is my impression, after seeing one do repeated burnouts and wheelies in the paddock at a track day, and when he was reprimanded he acted like a big baby, and they STILL let him keep riding.

Uhhhg. Don't know why they soldier on with their bare alum tanks.

It doesn't look "trick" to me. Looks like they forgot to drop the tank off at the painter with the rest of the body work.

MOAR RED PLEEZ.

Yep. Also, the fact that aluminum is bitch to paint, I wonder why the just don't go all steel.

Why don't they just use a V4?

Why don't they come in any other color other than red and tricolore?

Does Marcellus Wallace look like... a bitch?

as someone that has bikes with aluminum fuel tanks.. i approve of this :x

What a beautiful machine.

Sounds like Ducati addressed many ongoing issues with their top of the line Sportbike like fueling, ergonomics, shifting and "flickability."

The pricing seems quite reasonable given the premium components and technology that comes with it. :thumbup

EDIT: Just realized that Moto USA posted the price in the sidebar of the stock $18k bike but the actual test was relating to the $23k "S" version...must have read right over that little tidbit in the first paragraph. The updated 2012 BMW S1000rr for 2012 is $15,050 including ABS. That bike would seem to be the real bargain in the segment if you want a literbike with all the latest techno wizadry.
