Ducati North America Raided by the FBI

I can assure you there is more to the story. A Judge wouldn't issue a warrant without there being probable cause nor would any officer attempt to get a warrant without some good hard evidence. Most bay area agencies are filled with straight, gay, black white, brown, etc, There would be no prejudice or bias. We deal with reports and if there is evidence of a crime we investigate, simple as that.
Just telling it as I heard it. I tend to believe.

Depends on the era. We used to do a lot of awful shit to people because they were "different" than us. Black, brown, gay, Asian, you name it.

This was 20 years ago.

Apparently, over 30 FBI agents raided with guns drawn at the Ducati North America South Bay Location. Looking for Tax Documents and other paperwork.

Nothing in the news. Probably an ongoing investigation. What could they possibly be looking for?

The employees who were onsite at the time are still pretty shaken up over this situation.

Having a gun pointed in your face after all that has happened in recent times would definitely be very scary.

Nothing on any websites yet. ROUNDBOY the reporter with the GOLD post!

Dayum😯-glad to hear nobody got shot and sorry to elskip for the loss of work and income- how shitty they just let you go like that, but fuck ‘em onward and upward sir betcha your rep soon finds you employed again.:cool

First thing I thought of was was reco but that’s just me.

Would blow if the motorcycling industry lost Ducati. Hopefully it’s a minor issue and gets resolved.

I think it's a stretch to think that a raid on Ducati NA could escalate to all of Ducati no longer existing. Even if it's a huge tax issue and tons of people in the US go to jail, Im not worried at all that actual Ducati which is part of a huge multinational corporation will cease to exist.

I'm not so sure about that.

"Whistleblower laws protect employees from being retaliated against after reporting that their employer has violated the law or breached the public trust."

I can see a smart lawyer filing under that as he was fired for reporting on a law enforcement operation against the Company.

Contractor≠Employee

Yeah, Ducati NA Inc. is independent business from Ducati Holdings SpA. One or the other can disappear and would not affect other. Other than NA needing to find another manufacturer to import.

Maybe Ducati NA was "importing" other goods into U.S. along with bikes. Maybe undeclared "coffee" or other goods? Who knows...

If entire board of Ducati NA gets tossed in prison and corp dissolved, I'm sure other importers & dealers would step in to fulfill demand.

As a former employee of Ducati NA, who once got strung up for the WRONG misdemeanor on a company bike that was legal by seven different state regulations and laws...

You. Are. Blind. Or. Full. Of. Shit.

^^^ nice to see you post Dan. How’s things? Do you still have your R1? I’ve still got mine!

Since I vividly remember when this happened to you and the circumstances involved, I'm going to guess MR662 is both.
