EA235 Yes, he's gone

Eric always wanted to know how a individual was doing on on a personal level, not just what kind of bike they had. He was always helpful to those around him. I benefited directly from his kindness and willingness to assist.

RIP.

I met Eric at a K@TT trackday at Thunderhill in 2003 or 2004. I was on my RS125 playing cat and mouse with an R6 and Eric made it a point to cheer for me and root me on in-between sessions. When I highsided myself to the moon on the backside of the Cyclone, he was the first one to come over in the pits and ask how I was doing. A really cool guy.

Fast forward to 2008 and I arrange to meet a BARFer to purchase a lap timer. As I get out of my car and walk towards him, he recognizes me and immediately replays the entire day back to me. He even remembered the kidnapper van I have for track duties. We laughed about it all over again. Great guy.

Eric, you did what you felt you needed to do. Rest now brother. I hope those of you that called Eric 'friend' will find the means to move forward in your lives.

Rest in Peace... friend. It was absolutely a pleasure knowing you. Spirits never die.

I didn't know Eric but have been updated about his life and situation. It's all so very sad to hear. He sounded like an extraordinary, wonderful friend to those who knew him. As a riders we all share grief when one of our own falls. It just plain hurts.

All the best to Eric's family, friends and to those here who knew and loved Eric.

Godspeed Eric
No more limits for you friend.

Originally for Christopher Reeve, whom Eric references in his last post. Given Eric's amazing impact on so many lives, I find it fitting.

I too remember Eric at an early Keigwins. He has touched many lives. If being an inspiration equates to richness, he is a billionaire.

Go with bravery Eric, ride safely amongst the clouds...

EA235, my enduring memory will be having you pull up next to me on the front straight of T-Hill (me on my 250 and you on your big bike) whil I was in a full-on race tuck at 90 mph, look over, give me a giant thumbs up and a smile that I could see through your visor. For some reason, of all the memories, that one particular sticks with me.

Godspeed, Eric. :ride

I have no words, none whatsoever :cry

Shock doesn't begin to describe what I am feeling

Eric you will be greatly missed. YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN EA235! RIP ERIC ARNOLD. My condolences go out to his family and friends for this is a very difficult time.

Very sad. I just read his blog again and could feel his angst in each sentence.

Eric "lived" on the track for only a short time.
He will live on in our minds and hearts forever.

RIP Eric.

Wow! Eric, you have touched us all with your story, and life. Things are
never going to be quite the same, after hearing of this.

I truely enjoyed those years of track days, and racing. Trying to hook
you up with our various famale friends was great entertainment. What
greater gift can one brother do for the other, but to help him score...?

I'm sorry, Eric. It takes a brave man to confront these issues; I understand.
Until we meet again, you will always be in my thoughts.

i actually got to meet Eric so it really hits me harder than other threads with fallen riders. i met him at a trackday and was in need a rear tire before i went up there. i didnt have time to meet with Brian(#1freak)to get my tire and have it mounted so he talked to Eric for me and we exchanged a few emails so i knew who he was. they both went out of their way to make sure id have it the morning of.... a great guy for sure!

I have never met Eric but reading his blog for the first time was really moving. Page after page I could not stop clicking "older post" to understand & see where it all started. Prayers go to him, his family and friends.

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said, but I too, never met Eric, and wanted to, just to shake his hand. You will be missed by so many, and already are. Rest easy Eric.

I didn't know of Eric until a good friend of mine (Ducboyjr) posted on another motorcycle forum that he had passed away. I just had to register so that I could pass on my very best wishes to everyone who knew Eric.
Having read his blog and every post in here, I have to admit to being a little more than choked up about the passing of a man who will be very sorely missed. If every smile that we smile when remembering Eric knocked off a tenth of a second per lap, then he'll undoubtedly be one of the fastest riders lapping around the racetrack made for legends.

R.I.P. Eric

I was at the race at Infineon the day of the accident to watch a buddy of mine race (in the same race with Eric). Eric came by my friend's paddock and I got to meet him for the first time. He told me he instructed for Keigwin's, and I told him I would be doing the Keigwin's Laguna Seca track day in May. We talked about him giving me a few pointers at Laguna, as it was going to be only my 4th track day, it really had me looking forward to it. Needless to say less than an hour later I was in the stands in shock like everyone else. I didn't know him long, but he came off as a super nice guy. I hope he's happy now. I know he will cross my mind when I'm on Laguna next week. Love and comfort to his family.
