Yeah, we’ve lost three dealers here in San Rafael. Harley closed up shop, then we lost the Kawi/Honda/Suz dealer, and then the BMW shop. We still have Marin Speed Shop, a Ducati dealer. And some indies - Scottie’s Workshop comes to mind. Vintage BMW restorations and repairs. Great guy and he does a great job with the airheads.

We also lost Yamaha when Speed Shop dropped them.....so there's that.

Then there were other independent shops , gone now. Mojo Town Michael Aaron’s shop and Motopia took over Yamaha before fraud was revealed and subsequent closure.

Chris and Dennis were the owners before they were bought out by these guys. I bought four bikes from them

IMHO service went downhill once they sold.

I get my F800ST serviced at a local independent shop.

Do you mind sharing the name of your local independent shop? It looks like I will need find someone to service my R1200GS.
