Favorite cheeseburger in SF?

Had a belly burger the other day..had a chicken burger instead of the pork belly burger

It was a pretty good chicken burger my mate said the pork belly burger was good

Because of the Christian thing. If they tried to build one in the City it would be burned to the ground.

In SF, I think Burgermeister is pretty good, but my favorite has been Bill's Place on Clement for a long time.

+1 Bill's Place. Home of the Carol Doda burger.

I need to get back to Bills Place some day. I used to live right on the corner of 25th and Clement.

Barney's on 24th St. is often bandied about, but frankly, I am not a fan.

Barney's used to be my serious go-to burger joint...the one on 24th & the one in the Marina. Cheese lovers was the bomb. Hell I was a regular diner at the East Bay locations when I lived in Oakland. :) But then several years ago their quality went straight down the toilet...gristle in the meat and, I even swear to God, bone chips! :wtf They eventually got their act back together but it really wasn't the same after that. Meat is bland, toppings suck and the fries are usually overcooked. The best cheeseburger I've ever had while I was in SF?

Homemade, simple as that.

I used to live on Church so I'd go to the 24th ojne.

But since mastering the smash cheeseburger at home I don't really need to buy one outside.

Damn, Bills is super wack.

Wesburger is pretty bomb
4505 is nice but pricy
Gotts is cool if you are out in the ferry building
I Think NOPA has one of the best
Oh dont forget in n out....LAWD HAV MERCCYYYYYY

what about sliders on polk st, I like building my own.

I'll check it out next time I'm up there... the last time I was in that area and thought about it there was Thai place in that spot.

I think you're referring exactly to a Thai place *across* from Willows in the corner ..so -> both.

IMO any of those could be in danger of closing , for Willows are there always gonna be hip .. customers and I don't know about the Thai place doesn't seem too famous, been there once.

Bassem that ABV looks great , a neighborhood bar, pretty clean for that :)) should check it out sometime

i didn't think you're supposed to be there for the burgers.

but maybe they've turned starbucksy at some point? :twofinger

Yeah, I haven't been to ZG for maybe 10 years, but the food used to be pretty bad - overcooked, tasteless.
