Fixed Gear

yo guys. got a fixed gear a few weeks back and have been riding the san mateo area quite a bit with a fellow fixed friend of mine. We both live in san mateo and have been doing mostly rides to burlingame and palo alto (when I'm not in sf). we like to drink some beers and have fun so if anyone is interested in getting a group together that would be sweet. weekday nights, mornings, any time on the weekends.

riding an iro with a front break and arent too fond of light beer. ive been dusting my pal in sprints, give me a challenge guys! holler back

Built up a while ago, a blast to ride. Another build is coming soon though.

Go to a track I am sure you will find plenty there. :laughing

That is a TERRIFIC frame. Do it justice and take it to a velodrome.

I most definitely will, after I graduate this quarter from the uni. Those are my street wheels. I'm going to be lacing my dura ace 7600's to mavic open pros for track duty. Sold off my fuji track pro, leader 725tr, and kilo TT. I have another ride to prep soon for the street!

MASH Cinelli. All the MASH guys are waiting for theirs too. Supposed to be more track and less street. We'll see, I guess.

I thought they already got theirs? and rode tour of Cali w/ them... unless I'm mistaken. Hmmm, I have the '10 Vigorelli comin' in. I wanted to get the Mash initially, but the guy I was relying on only had the frame and didn't want to part with it, bah. Let me know what you think of the Mashinelli.

I haven't been riding at all lately. Who lives in SF that wants to go ride/tark around?

Comparing the geo's it looks like the MASH vigo's have more head and more seat angle than the standard Vigorelli.
That's for sure more track/sprint oriented, but compared to other track frames (looking at the Felt TK2 since I just saw a pic of one) they have less head angle but more seattube angle.
Of course I'm talking .5-1.5 degrees of angle, but that's all really that separates a "crit" road frame from a "road-race" frame in the geared world.

...one of the 40 Ti Phil Wood x Independent Fabrications 40th Anniversary bikes that was at this year's NAHBS?
Your friend must have a good connection!

Edit: If it's that exact bike (#00/40), that means that your friend is Peter from Phil Wood. Rad!

I only have 1 Phil part but I love it to death!
It's one of the old (and now rare, apparently) 126-spaced cassette hubs. Lets me put anything from 8-11 speeds on my '85 Cannondale race frame.
Love the company to death.
:teeth
