And sadly, a lot - a LOT of arable land is used to create cheap corn-based sweeteners so that farmers in Louisiana who used to grow sugarcane now have to make it with soybeans. Brazil's ethanol comes from sugarcane waste. Ours comes from cow food. Real smart.

Did I mention the amount of water that's used in the name of farming corn we don't need, and that you and I are tax-susidizing that, too? Must be nice to be Monsanto.

Corn might be fed to cows and they survive long enough to grow and be killed for cheap meat thanks to modern science, but it certainly not "cow food".

Sweeteners just the start. Look at the back of any pre-packaged meal. It reads like a chemistry set, and most of that is made from corn....
