So they create the dumb down programs targeting the 12 year old mentality. Same for Discovery, TLC, and the list goes on.

You just verbalized my excuse for only having the absolute most cable service. It's hard enough to pay the $29/mos for the lower channel crap that consists mostly of Mexican programs.

Bottomline...TV just plain SUCKS BALLS!

I miss the days when History Channel was read by a guy with a monotone voice. Y'know, when it was possible to learn something other than the natural ridiculously short attention span of the average American.

Remember when Speed tv had great programs? Now we get 13 daily hours of Monster jam, How cool is my car please pick me, and I'm sorry it ran out of gas. You have 24 hours to fix a pile of junk, Americas most stupid drivers, and thaaaaat list goes on.

This show was very well done. But Speed figured it out 'why pay the money for good programming if we can throw up crap and get the same advertisers'.

Yep. Once upon a time they would show old historical races; like F1, Le Mans, Air/Boat races, Nascar roadraces (Riverside/old stuff when it was better), etc.
Now you get all those new crapola game shows ("Pass time," "Pimp my Ride," etc.) & Monster Truck racing, etc. (Least they show AMA racing & GP is about the only time I watch Speed anymo.)

Now I only hit that channel for the above mentioned races. Now it must be comprehensible for all the illegals & back country USA rednecks. It's a sad state of affairs, but sadly they do bring the ratings, & that's all the broadcaster cares about in the bottom line. :thumbdown
