Holy WTF! That's so fucked up. Makes sense that JTS would find it funny, though. He don't see things the same as most of us.

A British Airways flight landed in Hamburg one morning. The pilot was an old hand who greased it in, as usual, and took the first taxiway turnout. He had to pause while the first officer dug the charts out of the bag.

The Hamburg controllers, who have a bit of a rep for insisting that you know your way around the tarmac and generally keep things moving, got on the horn and asked the BA crew to shake a leg. The captain explained the delay and asked for some forbearance on the tower's part.

Forbearance not being a famous component of the German character, the ground controller testily asked if the crew had ever been to Hamburg before.

The pilot, in his best Eton College voice, replied, "As a matter of fact, Hamburg, yes, I have, several times, but it was dark, and we didn't land."
