Give me your knowledge of 2007 Honda S2000

The odd thing is, nothing has come up on the Mazda North America media website.

How is that "odd"? They have a vested interest in keeping the public in the dark until the 2018 dealer stock is almost depleted.

Yep. Osborne effect.

That's a pretty good bump from 155 in a 2300 pound car. But I'm guessing it'll be mostly on the top end of the newly higher rev range...

Probably, but I hear that's where the ND run out of steam...near the top.

So this likely will improve the only weak spot in the rev range.

Speaking of superchargers, what ever happened to that thread by the BARFer who converted a GS500 into a self-supercharged 250 single?

it's still in the garage if you search for it. should be anyway. i think the creator moved on to bigger and better things because of it.

I think the acronym you guyse are going for is NA, for naturally aspirated. Popularised exactly by the S2000 OMG highest NA power per liter (at the time? Still? Doesn't matter ..)
Not ND?

So shipping to Texas.

Open is $1000, enclosed is $1500.

1800 mile trip with many stops I'm guessing.

Is enclosed worth the extra money?

I'm looking at same service. Who are you using for shipping?

My nephew in Texas was looking at Roadrunner Transport to get his S2000 from Pleasanton to Austin.

As he has no garage, lives in a townhouse complex, not sure if he has security, good chances it will be stolen! :laughing

He's looking at GPS tracker too.

If you're already paying 25 thousand dollars for a 10 year old Honda (not trying to slight you), you might as well pay that extra 500 dollars and get an enclosed shipment. Especially if the paint is as nice as described.

I'm guessing he's going enclosed.

His call, not mine.

My "work" is done.

Me?

I'd go open trailer! :laughing

If it's not enclosed it'll get diesel soot or road tar all over it. At least that's what happened when I towed my car behind a U-Haul, and that shit was hard to clean off.

I believe they use something like this.

But without the tape to protect the paint, lol

I would also hate to be car #1 on that truck

From my nephew:

"Thinking of going with an enclosed trailer.

I asked Michele how soon I can pick it up, then I’ll schedule it. She’s got to get it smog tested first (in California you must show that it’s been smog tested in the last 90 days if the car is 4+ yes old). I’ll have to do the same once it gets to Texas since we don’t recognize out of state inspections!

This week I’ll be researching locking bolts for the seats and security systems.

My condo is a gated community in Barton Hills. Very safe neighborhood. But I’m still going to get a camera for my carport in addition to whatever else I end up using for security. "

If he is parking the car outside... open transport is sufficient. Hell, it sounds like the car was not a garage queen so what is 2,000 miles on the back of a truck going to do (so long as your not car #1). It's a small car so chances of it getting scratched loading it is minimal. It's the shipping companies profession so they know what they are doing (usually) and don't want to have to deal with an insurance claim which hurts their overhead costs.

No, the car was a garage queen of epic proportions.

My nephew does have covered parking in Texas just not a garage.

He' is FAR FAR more OCD about his vehicles than I.

My cars and bikes each get a wash once/year...if they are lucky! :laughing

Being OCD about your car and parking in a carport sounds like it would be a nightmare.
