Golden State Warriors 2017-2018

Loving Curry's Run TMC hat!

We had season tickets during those years. They were fun to watch.

I don't know how these guys got time to keep up with all this stuff. I had to Google the whole "mood" deal and got the explanation, and, as Fred says, Draymond does rule.:laughing:laughing

So even if we are supposed to not dwell overly much on LeBron on our thread, Draymond is still tuned in. Pretty funny.:laughing

I realized this morning that we seem to need LeBron to be the adversary. The big bad opponent that needs to confronted and is always at the door, whether this is actually true or not.

I kinda hope he does go to the Lakers or other Western team just to keep the Warriors on their toes. By the same token, they kind of let Westbrook run around the court like a madman in the OKC win in one of the regular season games.

Stuck at work but with computer so I watched parade. From a distance, i loved the vibe of the event and how it was handled.

I watched Channel 7 coverage. the funniest thing was the the players and coach basically kept ditching the on-the-street reporters with their ridiculous and redundant questions. Coach Kerr was bounding down the street while this little gal was tryna chase him with her mic. Curry was in the middle of an interview and just bolted so he could work the crowd. It was beautiful. It seemed like the one single occasion where the players could be around real people in context and not have it be awkward, but instead, just fun.

As the originator of this thread, for a while now I've been hovering my mouse pointer over the Report Post button to have the moderators shut it down. I will do that today after we have a chance to post pictures of the Warriors championship parade in Oakland. :party

This is the Golden State Warriors 2017-2018 basketball thread, not the LeBron James free agency thread, not the Cavaliers are so fucked thread, not the Warriors summer acquisitions thread, not the Chase center is for rich folks thread.

As somebody who has followed the Ws since the days of John Lucas, I am grateful for another season of excellent basketball and I hope they can continue playing at this high level.

Dude, I wasn't the guy keeping the Cavs conversation going :rolleyes I'm not even in this thread at times, and you guys keep talking about him without me. That's your choice.

Enjoy the Warriors championship this year.

INTERESTING....

Reports say Dray will refuse the contract extension offer this offseason, hoping he will qualify for a Super Max after the 2018-2019 season -- but he has to win DPOY, MVP, or make 1st Team All-NBA to even qualify for it.

Kawakami (yeah I know) put something in one of his long form articles for The Athletic that the Dubs are looking into what would be needed to acquire Anthony Davis from New Orleans.

If they could come up with any sort of deal centered around Dray and NOT giving up Klay and Bell, that probably wraps up at least 3 of the next 5 championships.

Steph/Klay/KD/AD/Bell is ridiculous.

I really don't think pelicans will deal AD for draymond and a secondary guy. AD is arguably a top 5 player with both offense and defense skillsets

But they have different skill sets. Draymond is a facilitator, and likely would be better at elevating players around him.

so they have potentially 4 max players. great problem to have. Something will eventually have to give. Hopefully a long time from now when they're tired of winning.

can't get rid of Draymond. He'd will another team to win somewhere else, a la Rodman to the Bulls
