Gonna miss Bruce Willis films

I see a beer but I think you'd need about a dozen Red Bulls to channel Ruby Rhod.

I’ve heard of In Country, but never saw it. Pretty good?

And yes Sly’s performance in First Blood is damn good. Very underrated.

Nah, I never saw it, and it totally bombed in the theater, but that was supposed to be his big dramatic piece.

In honor of Bruce retiring, I may bring back the podcast I started when to pass the time when Covid began, inspired by one of Bruce's greatest movies, The Fifth Element.

BZZZZZZ

That is, one of Bruce’s greatest movies, but it really a movie by a great French director who had the hots+marrying a nice actress and having a great cast of a famous villain (Leon anyone? Same director and villain!), an Oscar British wining actor, great additional cast …haha, Tricky..AND having a super-famous fashion designer for the costumes)

Sin City and, especially, Moonrise Kingdom were great departures from Willis' popcorn flicks which were all enjoyable.

My sister lives in Hailey, Idaho where Bruce Willis has had a home for a few decades and their kids went to the same grade school for a while, many years ago. She said Willis and Demi Moore were always good about school functions. Willis had paid for the town fireworks on the 4th of July for many years and may still do that as far as I know. Anyway, my point Bruce Willis is a movie star but also a real person. Aphasia presents a lot of challenges. Wish him the best.

I just randomly read this, FWIW, YMMV

That's what Clint Eastwood did to Carmel... when the city council wouldn't give him what he wanted (a building permit for a big, ugly, pretty much empty building at present time) he ran for mayor and rammed it through. When he wanted to build his golf country club and the county put the brakes on it, he gave a movie part in "Unforgiven" to a member of the Board of Supervisors, Sam Karras, and boom, Tehama got built...

Eastwood is now one of the largest land holders around the Monterey Peninsula as he's one of the major partners in Pebble Beach Co.

Willis and Moore were amateurs. :x

Yeah, I have always admired what Clint Eastwood was able to do in Carmel, he is a great dude.

Don't tell that to people whose houses were flooded by the drainage issues from the Tehama golf course... :laughing

That's soo sad about BW. I was watching a few bits of Sie Hard over the weekend. Some channel was playing a bunch of the Die Hard series. The only one I cared for was the 1st one.

Regarding Clint Eastwood, he was my idol, for many years, then he turned into a Douchebag.

If you guys want to see a VERY entertaining action movie, please check out Copshop. That movie is epic!!!!

If you have access to Peacock network, it's on there for free. I paid $5.99 to watch it on Prime.

:laughing

That is awesome... Nice outfit :rofl

Thanks for sharing that. You have a future in being a YouTube personality.

Nice way to deal with some pandemic time.

Pretty bummed for Bruce. Really loved his work.

As for BARF... 4 pages in and not a single mention of one of the best works in the Willis canon, shame...

Any film where he had hair is a bit aged. :laughing

So he's bad at sequels, but I wouldn't say his fault in my two in mind: I really liked The Whole Nine Yards, was filmed in my home city, and also takes place there, there's some funny culture clash, and he plays the sociopath hitman quite well.

I couldn't even get through half the sequel. Probably not his fault since he was playing the same guy.

Also Red was quite enjoyable, but Red 2 sucked, but once again he was totally fine in it, he played the same character so I blame the writers.
