Gonna miss Bruce Willis films

Don't tell that to people whose houses were flooded by the drainage issues from the Tehama golf course... :laughing

:laughing

Hey anyone who goes out and fucking destroys people who are trying to preserve the land near their community in any long term fashion is fucking great in my book. Burn every single NIMBY to the ground.

How did somebody describe you years ago? Something about the nihilist that screams for the order of Disneyland, or something like that? :laughing

LOL, I'm typically an annual pas holder. :D

While many nihilistic teachings make sense to me, much like Nietzsche, so too does a fair amount of existentialism.

Neither of these models of thought are a dogmatic practice for me however. What I believe in is efficient systems that maximize the benefit to the greater good (as defined by the ability to maximize the development of inherent potential) without the chaos of personal bias.

In California, the ongoing catastrophic housing crisis is solely the fault of the aforementioned NIMBYism, so of course it is proven as a failed model of thought that should be attacked at every opportunity.

;)

all of the philosophical diatribes aside - disagree that the housing crisis is solely nimbyism. in much of the high density areas - there is literally no land left (we are fully built out in pretty much all of the BA). only remaining solution in those instances is to raze single family home developments in favor of higher density residential land use. cost and logistics-wise - good luck with that.
