GoPro HD HERO3

They arent letting powersports dealers sell the Black version.... only the silver. BULLSHIT

I helped set up the GoPro truck out at Sears Point last night. Got to see that trailer on a 52 inch screen and it was amazing. Also got to see the Hero 3. It is pretty cool as well.

Not only does that vid look facking amazing, but some of the camera movements are :wtf

1:12 the boarder spins, the camera stays in place :wtf

2:18 the dolly across :wtf

both shots are something like this... ours is a little bit better but you get the jist of it.

Looks great and I'll probably buy one, but I'm really bummed at no image stabilization.

I could argue and say you don't need it

and I could say no one offers image stabilization above 720p

and I could say if you shoot in a format above 1080, use image stabilization post production and convert down to 1080 your good but...

why

:laughing

I have my own set of "issues" with it but mine are very nit picky ;) to better suit my own personal needs

end of the day though I still say this camera is so far ahead of the competition! insane!

I think the Sony shows that there are benefits to image stabilization. Also, image stabilization would be more useful to waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more users than 4k. Not to mention that the user base is further decreased by the fact that those who actually have a 4k video card and 4k capable monitor, proooobably aren't using a GoPro. Don't get me wrong here, I love-love-love your product, I just think the order of importance in feature implementation is a bit out of whack on this iteration.

the image stabalization on the Sony had a noticeable effect on the 1080p recording I did... the shitty housing ruined it for me though...

Let me know if you guys need another bike next time, you can has mine... its blue.

Damn it! I'm so deep into the Hero2 that I'd have to rob a bank to replace all of them with the 3.

Grrrr
