I could argue and say you don't need it
and I could say no one offers image stabilization above 720p
Sony does Image Stabilization @ 1080 120 FOV REALLY good, I can shoot you a side by side comparison if you want.
the image stabalization on the Sony had a noticeable effect on the 1080p recording I did... the shitty housing ruined it for me though...
I saw your review, its too bad you weren't willing to deal (figure out a way around their mistake) with the fogging as I'm sure you saw how good that camera was in every other aspect.
You can use the android/apple app to control the camera. Pretty sure you can't copy stuff off wifi.
Now let's not get ahead of the train, until that android app is released (Oh and with the sony built in WiFi you CAN copy photos & videos over wifi) After the frustration of upgrading the wifi backpack (look up "gopro wifi update already registered" problem with windows 7) I was happy to see how easy it is to change ALL the settings on 1 page of the ipad -

although the video lag is at about 3 seconds (sony is about .5 of a second)
I know it sounds like I'm being harsh on GoPro & drumming up Sony, those cameras/companies both have strength & weaknesses, and I was just pointing out some specifics here. If you think I am a fan of sony here is a list of shit pissing me off:
-Wifi App Broken - has terrible reviews in google play, it works on my Nexus 1 running 2.3 but will not work on the galaxy nexus running 4.1
-Fogging
-Lack of decent mounts
-No dive hosing door (promised for November)
-Can't turn off the beeping
-60fps & 120fps suck without sound
And here is a list for GoPro:
-Over marketing & underdelivering, wifi backpack update took 3 months/still no live streaming
However I'll still buy the 3 I'm sure (
got the 2 OG for sale here to fund the 3)
