:motoporntechnically interesting but I would be surprised if it beat 75% of stock hp, much less made more power.
Amazing work.
I had a pretty built-up GS500 track bike, and the one thing I thought it still could have used was a lighter replacement for that heavy tank. Very nice.
Maybe I'm too tired but, how are you changing your intake valve timing to open on every downward stroke on the compressor side? If you don't change that your only going to suck as much air as the combustion side right? Your intake valves are going to stay shut as if it were on the combustion stroke, but you have no exhaust valves so then you'll be sucking through your exhaust ports as the piston moves down. The translation should be?

I can confirm that this works on Briggs & Stratton motors.I have seen GM smog pumps used as blowers also, although on small displacement engines.

So...
Any chance I could buy a few of these go-fast parts for my race bike?

What are you after? I'm sure I could be talked into at the very least helping make some, etc.
Rearsets for one. I bet you could sell a few of them to the gstwins.com people. I would love the CF Tank, but I have no doubt that it's a crazy expensive part, and I'm not sure I could justify putting that much cash into a $1500 race bike.![]()
I do have a bike cam I could point at the rear-sets. Next track-day is thanksgiving weekend. I don't have any plans for my track-day after that... But, if you need the video before the project is due, I'd be more than happy to at least take a couple laps around the apartment complex.
If I like em, I'll probably buy a couple of extra sets. Rear-sets are a common crash damage replacement part.
Question: Are you planning to convert to a linkage system on the shifter side, or to build an extended shift lever?

cpt. bored at work demands more.
Told all my bike friends about this. No pressure
My gut tells me the head gasket might be the weak link here, but what do I know? I think I'm convinced on the con rod strength requirements though... Good luck!
